Everytime someone asks me what perfect singing is, I always direct them to this video. velasquez is simply sublime in this performance. Incredible vocal control in all ranges, great soulful interpretation and that amazing tone is well kept all the way through. this is simply one of the greatest singing I've ever seen coming from popular music singer. This performance is up there in terms of vocal dilivery with the great opera singers.

I can't believe someone can compare regine's rendition to that of Laarni's... omg! the difference is from earth to moon! This rendition is one of the best if not the best in the whole wide world! It is just so perfect... no flats, no falsettos, the alighnment is very good, timing is perfect, high notes are nailed... what else can you ask for....?
Regine's version is the best for me. Sarah lacks vocal control, and she sometimes sings with her throat. Laarni's soprano version is a disaster, she even went flat on the last note. Singing has nothing to do with who hits the highest note. How about who hits the lowest notes? Is Jessica Simpson a better singer than Gladys knight because she can hit high notes?
Regine sang it in a lower key because she used her chest voice while laarni and sandi sang with their headvoice.. In fairness to Regine, she belted the high notes with ease. Others can't do that..
this is definitely the best interpretation for this key. The other versions sounded "TH". Of course si R. Cayabyab ang nag-arrange. Hinde masyadong binago yung music, yung key lang mas mababa at si regine ang kumanta kaya maganda. Tama lang yung emotions ng pag kanta. its been almost a year since I discovered this video. And I still keep coming back to this. Her performance here is so perfect. Nothing to fault her with in terms of technical execution (jaw-droppingly amazing actually), and superb in putting the right amount of heart and emotions in the song. Brava! *five stars* all over again. BTW, her brilliance in this song has nothing to do with age or experience. Reg also sang this when she was just 22. Equally just as brilliant.

I remember when I was 18 years old, We sang this song in a choir (a succesful concert actualy)in our local church, I still know the lyrics up to now. Thanks Reig for the wonderful song! One of my favorites. Now Im 55 years old, wish that I could join again in a choir and sing this song.

I hope Regine's producers would come up with a video collection of all her concerts... Sigurado, pati yun mabibigyan ng platinum award... She first sang this song back in the 90s. During that concert, she sang the last note in its highest key possible... Whoa!

correct.. until now, siya pa din ang pinakamagaling sa kantahan... kaya naman bili na kayo ng LOW KEY album niya. it's already out in the market at gold record na. ako nakabili na ng tatlo at bibili pa ako ng marami pang gift sa mga friends ko. kayo din para naman mag platinum na ang LOW KEY.

As far as i know she's sick during this time, but still i witnessed and heard another hair raising, jawdropping, performance. great vocal control, powerful and fierce. sobrang galing talaga ni Regine, I just hope meron maka surpass nung mga vocal performances nya. wala pa ding nakaka level sa standard nya until now, that's why she's still there.

We all know that it's hard to compare versions of different singers in as much as they vary in terms of lyrical interpretation and style, thus the approach they are taking to attack the song may not be entirely technically similar. Please do away from the habit of pulling down anyone in whatever manner. Much more if s/he is your own.

i read one of the comments that compares this performance to that of Laarni so I searched Laarni's... I can't believe someone can compare regine's rendition to that of Laarni's... omg! the difference is from earth to moon! This rendition is one of the best if not the best in the whole wide world! It is just so perfect... no flats, no falsettos, the alighnment is very good, timing is perfect, high notes are nailed... what else can you ask for....?

Regine's version is the best for me. Sarah lacks vocal control, and she sometimes sings with her throat. Laarni's soprano version is a disaster, she even went flat on the last note. Singing has nothing to do with who hits the highest note. How about who hits the lowest notes? Is Jessica Simpson a better singer than Gladys knight because she can hit high notes?

Regine sang it in a lower key because she used her chest voice while laarni and sandi sang with their headvoice.. In fairness to Regine, she belted the high notes with ease. Others can't do that..

this is definitely the best interpretation for this key. The other versions sounded "TH". Of course si R. Cayabyab ang nag-arrange. Hinde masyadong binago yung music, yung key lang mas mababa at si regine ang kumanta kaya maganda. Tama lang yung emotions ng pag kanta. Kaya yung ibang tao dyan na gusto kumanta nito ay dapat isipin na hinde ito love song!!! bec of this kaya gusto ko si regine..
