Concerning your remark on the punishment for leaving Islam, there is an interpretation, a rather radical one, which says to kill all those who leave Islam. On the other hand the Qur'an explicitly prohibits the killing of any soul, except in times of war when you are yourselves ATTACKED. Furthermore it says repeatedly in the Qur'an that there is no compulsion in religion. Allah will be the Judge, so it would be foolish for men to judge.

It's sad to see that there's persecution, but it goes both ways. In the USA and EU there's also persecution of muslims. I suggest however that instead of only looking at the negative sides of Islam portrayed in the MEDIA, you do some research of your own. Read the Quran and you'll see Islam is essentially peaceful

@TheBengaul Yes but the difference is my friend is that Christian Catholics for instance do not literally believe in the Old Testament (ie the Jewish Bible) They do believe literally in the New Testament of Jesus Christ.Christian scolars have been discussing the Bible for 2000 yrs and in the case of Catholics have determined that some parts of the Bible require interpretation and are stories which illustrate a point rather than literal truth (eg Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden)
