this one is taken live for German television in 1971 , this groep is formed around John Lagrand Ted Oberg and Nicko Christiansen , the absolute topdrummer was Johnny Lejeune and bassplayer Ruud van Buuren it's my own band but I can tell ye it's tight as hell and heaven together

Inderdaad het beste ooit op rock/blues gebied, Maar is slechts op enkele ballads na, niet te vergelijken met Cuby te vergelijken. Maar LA GRAND heeft nog wel eventjes bij C+B gespeeld. Hij rust zacht hopen wij maar.

They were the best Blues-Rock Band from the Netherlands ever.

The first two drummers were the best in their line-up, Cesar Zuiderwijk, and here we see the Johnny Lejeune, who was just as good.

I wonder what has become of him?

Fantasic Bluesharp player John Lagarand (R.I.P.)

Their later line-ups didn't do it for me however.

But in those earlier days they were just great, and I've seen them playing live many a time.

Even played as their support act with my own band once.
