  • COOL!!!

  • i'll stick to cdj's, dont get me wrong i'd lvoe to dj with turntables, but vinyls are too expensive for me, can't beat the price of a cd or a blank cd

  • @LiamsCovers vinyls cost roughly 4 cents to make per record. I don't know where you get your blanks, but I'd like some.

  • all the DJ's in chicago that i chill with do regular vynil, but that's because they aren't playing their own stuff. They manually beatmatch, some of them use laptops to plug in through ableton and such for effects. I personally am a digital Dj, i use a macbook running ableton, an akai mpd24, and a DJM 800

Al-P is the Xavier of mstrkrft... he does all the work. Gaspard and jfk just stand up there and look famous/cool

  • @IndieBritishInvasion Complete opposite. JFK does it all. Al P is a loser.

  • Representing the TdoT!

  • ... i use serato itch with westax vci300 and im amazed ...

  • I use serato cuz I'm just more comfortable playing mp3s and timecodes. CDJs, TTs, or mp3s, it's just a matter of opinion among DJs. each one has its own pros and cons.

  • serrato is frowned upon by most amazing djs and me as well if your good enough you dont need it but i bet they really dont need it

  • but vinyl is expensive!

  • not true

  • I love Al-P.

I don't think I have ever seen that guy show emotion haha. He's so sick.

  • These guys still prefer to spin vinyl and just use Serato scratch live when they DJ, it's a perfectly normal way to DJ in todays world..

  • mac lovers

  • "i noticed he didnt inhale his cig, but the huge swigs of jack were real "

    HAHA

  • maybe seein them in baltimore

  • can't wait for them to come to montreal, they better not fuck up on home turf.

  • Just saw them the other night in Honolulu...so disappointed in their track selection.

  • stick ya fckn angrfcknfist in your fckn ass!

  • whata fag

  • you obviously have no idear what your talking about...

  • hope they play at leeds festival one day.

  • Ableton Live should be re-named:

Ableton "Makes remixes and shit at home, then plays it" Live

  • I know, I'm a funny guy...

  • grnptide shut the fuck up. If you hate them so much why r u watching them and commenting on their video on youtube.

  • That is an 'R' not a 'T' luke. You must be educated, community college or a UC? People don't like things they find themselves watching all the time. I heard all the hype, realised it was for nothing. Good production besides the fact that the whole first album was produced on garage band, oops. But good music is good music,if you like it... Bump it! Just I would be ashamed to take home a pay check after using a computer to mix.

  • Comment removed

  • @ grnpride - My guess is you don't take a pay check home period from mixing, so there's plenty for you to be ashamed of I take it.

  • I spin shitty clubs where people don't dance, getting paid would be out of the question.

  • fuckin sick show

  • I bet you've never seen them live. I agree, this perfomance is not such interesting to watch on Youtube, but they are a great pleasure live!!

  • I have seen enough of these guys 'mixing' to know I'm cool off wasting my money. Certain people are just better in the studio. Fuck this computer shit, go to HARD on Halloween if this is what you want. This is the kind of shit that takes the soul out of people dancing. Lots of arms in the air, not too many asses shaking. Even though this isn't my normal style to mix - D.Ramirez and John Dahlback will take these guys to school anytime. Producing and DJing.

  • These guys rule. Seriously.

  • Alot of Dj's have Macbooks!

  • DFA 1979 better

  • you crazy?

  • death from above 1979 come back together please

  • Haha, I was right next to you.

  • and you made out with a random girl during benny benassi... haha its kyle

  • Yeah, I remember your youtube name from something.

  • Good quality! Very good live!

  • I wanna learn how to do this? Does anybody know how?

  • What software do they use also?

  • serato

  • in your dreams

  • they use ableton live. as seen in pictures and as they say on their forum.

  • serato scratch live for DJing, pro tools + hardware synthesizers in the studio, and they dont use ableton at all, jesse said something about using it to edit songs that he plays out and thats about it

  • true that. i hate using software to produce music, i just cant get the feel, it has to be hardware, but for my mixes i use the same setup, just by coincidence actually. serato is an amazing program, but it requires a bit of skill to master, as it requires you to do things properly.

  • i agree, but only to a point.

production and performance are two different things. daft punk do almost everything in the studio with analog equipment, but used ableton live for their tour. software allows a lot more freedom with what you can actually do with the music live.

  • Daft Punk used to bring all the drum machines, and everything with them, so they would be DJing, and creating drum beats while they were at it...

Now, They don't do anything live!

They just play a pre-recorded set! Although they may have been tweaking around with it on the shows from July and onward in 2007...

Because they originally didn't have any filter effects in 2006/start of 2007, but onward, you can hear the filter used a lot...

  • serato is easy, you can mix with it even if your deaf....thats why i like it =P

  • Why do you even have someone on stage? Besides, daft mixes all of their OWN tracks. There is something to be said for that. Most Dj's using computers are not. So cool, lets have a bunch of deaf people spinning because now they can. Tracks only go together if they sound good played together, build-ups ands breakdowns blend, etc. If you can make anything beat-match then you are losing the groove mang.

  • Yeah, I hate to say it. I love Daft Punk, but they were real lazy with the Alive tour in 07. Most of it was done in the studio. I really wish that wasn't the truth, but it was.

  • yeh but its not like they're well known just for mixing other ppls songs, they use alot of their own mixes in their gigs and unlike some/most dj's they dont rely on their laptop to make their music, alot of their songs are made up of live recordings that they hav done. plus, just cos you use a laptop doesnt mean yer a shit dj, e.g justice sometimes play their gigs with a laptop and their gigs are still awesome

  • yeah exactly! It just means that you dont wanna carry around a shit load of cd's lol some people are just stupid

  • yes sir you are correct even justice use that

  • another example is Deadmau5...Joel will almost always use a laptop and he's a fantastic DJ/producer

  • they are the MASTER remixers, their remixes for dudun-dun by Para One + D.A.N.C.E. by Justice, are so much better than the originals

  • Fook yeah. mstrkrft drop it

  • that one guy with the yankees hat looks so ironic, how cool this year.

  • fuck the yankees

  • they should've played at a night time. WTF!!!!!!

  • MSTRKRFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what good stuff lets here some band names

  • shut the fuck up you silly inbred

  • Hey Lockn, doesnt matter if MSTRKRFT's albums are low.. they will blow your brain out LIVE! xD

  • YeAHHHH!!!! SiCk...:)))

  • the guy yelling 'yeeeeaaaaahhhh!' is cool.

  • hes on e ahaha :)

  • does anyone know where i can get this mix? i want this one no the original.

  • this is the original, its just filled with loops and samples using serato.

  • oh. cool thanks.

  • @aimezledela

nah it's just the 2007 version (aka the mstrkrft remix off the street justice ep). and it's a bunch of filters, not any loops and samples haha

  • actually, there was a 2007 remix of street justice released on the easy love single, im pretty sure thats what this is

  • yeah you are right, this is Street Justice 07 remix

  • @davenothin its MSTRKRFT - Street Justice(MSTRKRFT Remix)

  • i honestly doubt you could do any of the shit they do, in the studio or live

their shit is all hardware synths, if you hear a clap on one of their songs, its them clapping, if you hear lyrics and its not a remix, they wrote it

  • Saw them live at I love Techno, where superb.

    But they looked too r&b-style

  • Aaah, favourite song.

  • i gotta say i like girl talk a lot better.

    but this aint bad either.

  • i dont think you understand that these people write their own shit. put it together. program a million different parts on hardware and software then have to sync all the equiptment for one continuous show. read up on things before you judge them...

  • Don't hate on mstrkrft, where the fuck is your shit? i dont see you bringing 1000+ fans to a fucking show.

    Dont Hate

  • no but they wrote that shit

  • see i would be too busy orgasming to them spin to be able to even think of recording a video.

  • you dont need anything but your ears to enjoy this

  • how could you resist a pill for this?

  • jesse moves like a bird

    gotta love them though

  • I wanna dance!!

  • couldn't find this part in the song... is it remixed at all?

  • 2many djs r good but mstrkrft wipe the floor with them, no contest! a Jfk remix pisses all over a soulwax one

  • ... Klaxons - gravitys rainbow (soulwax edit)

    nuff said

  • 2many djs are 10 times better

  • no there not

    and thats a fact

  • gooood

  • They're good, but compared to what Daft Punk was pumping back in '94? nothing

  • random guy saying yeah!!!! made me laugh

  • I WANT JFK'S STACHE

  • Agreed.

  • I don't think so. If anyone, Klaxons typify new rave. These guys are unclassifiable, they're just awesome.

  • these guys generally classify new rave. fact.

  • Fucking amazing. MSTRKRFT are the gods of electronica. Wish I was there.

  • i wanna know what kinda phones hes using, ive seen a couple DJs with them and they look pretty comfy too
