I know Spearmon didn't win, but I love how he is able to catch up in the last 20-30m of every race. Makes sense why he has the world record in the 300m.

I always expect Carter to be up there whenever I see him race, but he has had trouble finding the same physical shape that he was in since this race. It happens though and I'm sure it's frustrating for them.

Michael Johnson ran 19.66 at the olympic trials. The last race he did before the olympics he actually lost to Frank Fredericks...i believe somewhere in the 19.8x.

No disrespect, but you got your facts mixed up.I never said Gay couldnt compete with MJ-If you read it right, it was about marketing. Track was in style and his face was on almost every product--He was a superstar but gay is barely famous. And I wish youtube would have the interviews after the races--and not only the prelims. And I hope you just forgot instead of looking at highlights on youtube and making a judgement off of that.

watch all of Xavier Carter races, in the last 5-10 meters he breaks down. it looks as if he's slipping or falling foward, but its a breakdown of technique, he dosen't know how to "run through" he finish line.

Please try and stay within the realms of this Universe. Johnson's stumble probably triggered the greatest adrenaline rush he's ever had and easing off at the end cost him 0.02, 0.03 at most. So we arrive at 19.29 at best. 18.9 is riduculous and Johnson would not even run 18.9 with a +10.0 wind behind him for the homestraight
