Same acting style? Oh, hell no. Beatty's is a much more relaxed method variety. Cruise always puts this sense of urgency into every part he does/did. He even does it in interviews, ugh.

No-one makes movies this good anymore. Absolutely no-one. You see this film once and you never forget it. Can we say that about any suspense/thriller that has been produced in the last ten years?The writing is superb, the acting is subtle and nuanced, the result is great cinema. My hat is off to Alan J. Pakula, we need a few more movie-makers like him to get us out of the anesthetized dross pit that has become Hollywood movie making.
