I have never flown it beyond LOS, but ground tested the radio to 1.5 miles in ground range testing with my 1/2 wave modified RX antenna on my channel. Haven't tested video distance, but others with this setup and my highly modified & tuned patch antenna are easily hitting 35+km.
Hi: I just got into rc planes and I am putting together a FPV system right now. I have a easy start to start with. I am also building a composite version of HobbyKings EPP FPV plane. Good to see I am not only person in Calgary doing this. Nice video, I have yet to make any this good. I am going to make videos of setting up my system and ground station and building new plane. Do you use any OSD? I got the EasyOSD. I look forward to flying together FPV with ya.
@Billbobaker Yea, the trolls can get to ya sometimes, though RCG isn't too bad. This was only my third FPV flight outing. Been researching and such for quite awhile though. Thanks for the comment!

Excellent video Halflife.
I watched it first on the fpv video thread in Rcgroups.com but I can't post there for a while.
I like standing up to the pitbull trolls in the basement from time to time and, wow, are they crybabies so I get vacation time occasionally.
How long you been flying FPV? 200 hours?
Your pretty good at making it work and seem easy.
