OUVIDO: s.m. Um dos cinco sentidos, pelo qual se percebem os sons. E os prof. de hebraico moderno brasileiros (só os incoerentes) não percebem o som de um "A" longo e um som de um "O" breve. TRANSLITERANDO p/ o português fica a pronúncia igualzinho o original YAOHU.
This is beautiful. I am writing a play with a Passover scene at a very important place toward the end. I was searching YouTube for renditions of Eliyahu Hanavee to set the mood for my writing. I have listened to several, and this is my favorite. I love the sincerity and youthfulness of the voices. I have already listened to it three times. It's a great gift to me as I write the part of my play, and I sincerely thank the singers and musicians who shared it here. -Rebecca Jones
they dont sound good to me... tooo much kiddie voices, and too much breatheing where they shouldnt. basically it was horrible. i know cuz im singing this in my choir class. not at all how ur supposed to sing that piece. XP yuck...

i'm a sophomore in a freshman beginning women's choir this year, our concert is in a week, we sound way better than this.
they don't articulate the 'yai''s and you do not hear any of the soprano part, they cannot reach those notes!

I had the honor of being in the choir that premiered this piece back in 1999, the Lubbock Children's Choir from Lubbock, TX.

To thse arguing 'ly ly ly' vs 'yai yai yai', neither way is wrong.
It's called a 'niggun' (pronunced nee-GOON). It's the Hebrew equivalent of singing 'la la la la la' in English.
