Did you check the water in the airlock was uneven? If not, there are most of your problems. The little bottler is going to drip a little, suck it up. My first brew didn't bubble at all as well, but it turned out to be fantastic! The fact that you could smell fermentation indicates an improper seal! Some of my bottles were also caved in, they bottled fine! When I was bottlong mine leaked as well, until I adjusted the flow, MORON!!!

Anyone reading this, disregard what this guy is saying, it`s a fantastic product that works very well & produces fantastic beer.
