ok as far as i know, many austrian resorts allow skibikes. i went to zell am see and kaprun in 07 and there was no problem there. i checked with the resort info center b4 i went tho just to be sure.
creating ur own adapter set! legend! i just bought mine online.
so to acctually answer ur question...... i cant be sure where one can use skibikes in austria but i think allot of resorts allow them. just get in contact with the resorts ur thinkin bout goin to. dont know anythin bout regulations me and my bro just got there and skibiked!!!!!!!!!!
My first answer is yes, and my second answer is no, although I've never done it before, I know it's very easy and simple to pick up and less hazardous falling.
yer obviously you will be better using a bike with longer travel suspension but it depends what kind of snow u wana ride. a lot of on peiste riding, as im sure u know, is really flat and requires little if any suspension. i dont think using a cannondale light xc would make it much less fun.
both tracks are from the Völkl Family Business Snowboard vid. cant member the name of the first track, second one is Spotrushaz - Put Da Chips Up

yer, after i created my winterxbike i discovered lenzsport. i love the way the front ski repositions its self. must make it much safer for landing.

Is there a kit to convert a MTB into such bike? I would of done that with my Cannondale :)
Did you injure yourself much doing this?

where can i get this kit from? and does is work with a hardtail also?
anszwadreivia 3 years ago
Don't bother with a hard tail unless you know a cheap spinal surgeon! The world's best bikes are from Western Canada.

yer the bikes in the vid are proper mountian bikes, the specialized models, bighit and enduro

Thanks for info. I have been into MTB industry for years. The thing is that my cannondale is light XC. And those bikes are 4x/DH
