sry im from germany and cant understand all. you say in your opinion the meaning of the movie is that everbody can be a hero but anyone is .. what? ^^
Everyone is mortal which is the perfect characterization for Josh Brolin's character "Llewelyn Moss." Hell, even Tommy Lee Jones's character "Sheriff Ed Tom Bell" was a step away from Javier Bardem's character "Anton Chigurh" popping out and killing him (even though I don' think that would have worked out in the movie's favor.
I'm sorry but I have to say something bad about no country for old men. I'm really sorry please don't hate me for expressing my opinion. But I thought that there really was no heart in No country for old men and no emotionality. I mean the wife of Josh Brolin her acting was just plain dull. However the movie is not bad by anymeans just a little overrated in my opinion that's all but it's still a great film. Just not best picture material. Don't get me wrong though Javier did deserve the Oscar.
That's no problem, if you don't enjoy a movie, than tell somebody. Like in my case, there's a lot of people out there that enjoyed Appaloosa thoroughly, yet I on the other hand cannot stand that movie at all. It has something to do with the type of mood we are in when we see it and of coarse the personal interest we have in the topic of the movie itself. Thanks for the comment!
Oh I did enjoy the movie I just thought it wasn't best picture material that's all. But man. Javier did a perfect job as anton. He totally deserved that oscar for creating a great and memorable villain One awesome Oscar villain we have not seen since Antony Hopkins as Hannibal(however a year later another awesome oscar villain arose and I think we all know who that is Heath Ledger as the joker AH YEAH).
Speaking of villains it'd be nice to make a video just on them.
Javier's part was incredibly well done, no doubt about it. His look and emotionless facial expressions (even when he was smiling it was scary) added up so well. He is oblivion on two legs, a walking contradiction to society, gotta love it. A video on villains, now that is a good idea, I will have to meditate on that idea deeply for the next two weeks while I am in Mexico. Thanks for the awesome comment and award-winning idea. It is rare to find both in a a YouTube comment, thanks a ton!
Ha ha, yeah I got those while vacationing in Point Reyes Station, can you believe I got those in a local food market? And yeah, this movie is incredibly good. I will remember it until the day I die.
