I thought Tiga was the beginning of a new chapter in the Ultra Saga that was to market the franchise to a slightly more older audience, although not ALL the way to an adult audience like UltraSeven X. Tsuburaya, please learn that more complex characters are required... like Zero... and his deliquent past which exiles him until he has learned the true meaning of Ultra. Don't deteriorate after improving to a whole new level, PLEASE!

But I thought Tiga was meant to reach out to those above 12, which was also the idea behind Dyna and Gaia, but after that they were starting to lose the younger fans, and then a lot of violence was brewing up in town, so they made Cosmos a nice guy who tries to avoid violence as much as possible, so they can appeal to the kids.
@TTPotterUltraPower well at that time it was kind of like a transitioning point. But im pretty sure their primary attempt at capturing an older audience actually took place around the time when Ultraman Nexus was released

In his normal form, he is actually not that strong compare to other significant ultras. He may be on par with Mebius, Hikari, Dyna, Gaia, but guys like Zero, Ultra King, Belial, Leo, Zoffy, Taro, Ultra-Seven, Ultraman 80, Ace, Ultraman, Father of Ultra, Cosmos, Noah are all stronger than him.
When he goes Glitter mode he can match Father of Ultra and maybe normal form Belial. But Zero, Ultra King, Kaiser Belial, and Noah still surpass him by far.
Yeah Tiga is one of those classics. Very original. He is the first ultra that displayed multiple forms. Not to mention he is the only ultra that got the color purple :).
A KICK ASS ending to a KICK ASS series, with the defeat of the Ruler of Darkness, Daigo leading a normal life, and all the children of the world present to whitness the awesomeness of it all, it makes me wonder how the fucking douche bags that made the dubbed series might have fucked this on up. Hate the cantonese dubbing though.
@worldends08 Avatar The Last Airbender the movie? Hah! That thing was atrocious compared to this. Avatar had a way higher budget but it failed miserably, this is a moderately low budget series and movie that still kicked ass.
@MetalStorm909 Not the movie - the series!! James C. got the rights to call his movie "Avatar" - not M. Night. Yes the movie was horrible ( type "Last AIrbender" and "Rifftrax" on Youtube for some laughs!) Anyway the SERIES was gOOd, and the miniseries will be EXCELLENT!!

Not always. Some of them actually lose in the beginning. For example Zoffy and Taro were killed by Birdon in episode 18 of their series.
