  • i have that exact same trainer

  • on your landing..... Did you use flaps? and also did you use flaps on take off. Just curious.

  • I hope parkzone comes out with the a10 I'll be all over it!

  • superstar mkII? is that different from the regular?

  • your garage is super awesome

  • one thing i dont like about this plane is the landing gear. not really suited for rough fields. well thats what it looks like to me

  • Hello! Do you HAVE to bind a spectrum transmitter to it? Cause I want to get a 2.4 transmitter, but its not a spectrum one.

  • @TheChickeneer yes it is dsm2 so you can only bind it to certain transmitters like most spektrum ones, most jr ones and most parkzone ones. visit the sit called bind and fly for a list of compatible transmitters.

  • The landing in the plane sucks

  • Hey Eric...what size servo do i need for the flaps?

  • Sounds windy, no wonder it was tough to land. The slow-mo part always cracks me up

  • do the flaps come pre-cut or do you have to bevel them and stuff?

  • Does the little extra servo control the ailerons or just the little flaps? I can't fly ailerons yet and was just wondering.

  • Nice looking plane! The flaps, what do they do? what do they add to the flight performance?

  • Hi, I see you have the Hobbico Superstar MKII. I have one too, it was a gift and it has never been flown. the problem is that the engine has never been started and it seams stiff to turn what should i do?

Also i have no charger for the original battery so ill have to find a charger and a new battery because its probably bad by now. This is my first glow plane and i think all i need is a glow plug, electric starter, and fuel.

  • and it can handke a couple hits!!! thx for review man ;)

  • LOL! As I was watching your vid, I was thinking..."I'm gonna ask if he has any tips on landing and take-offs of tail draggers (I just got my P-47)"...then I watched the end and bloopers! Never mind :-D

  • Dear Erick, thanks for all your reviews and videos! Among others, I have seen both the Stinson RD-10 review (this), and your P-51 review. I know these are two relatively different planes - in fact the Stinson is probably more similar to the T-28 than the P-51. But, if you had to compare the Stinson to the P-51 in terms of "most fun" (ignoring pricing or the fact that you have to install the rudder servo in the P-51), which would you choose? I'm real intrested in your comment, thanks in advance!

  • Looks like it was kind of "whippy" on the ground before take-off, and again after the landing. More details about tail control on the ground, please.

  • It looks so cool on the first approach.

  • Can it be hand launched? And what is the flight time on the stock? I want something to use a a recon plane

  • @bakonlicious Yes, it can be hand launched. This is a good scale plane.

  • @joehandsome99 i wonder if its a good first person view plane. i am searching hard for a flyer that can be slow but to medium fast and i want to fly at my house where there is some trees. theres about an acre land and the "runway" is just right behind the house with a wall of trees next to it lol. i only have about maybe 60 ft in width and about 50-60 ft lenght of runway before i hit a 12 foot planter tree.

  • Is this good for a first 4 channel plane? judging by its looks, it fits the description of one. ( high wing, not too fast, etc.) Ive heard however, that it has a high wing loading, so it will stall kinda easy? Is this true? ive heard many recomendations about the parkzone t 28 as a first 4 channel, but i think this looks cooler and might be a tad easier to fly. I'd really appreciate it if you clear things up for a newbie like me. :)

  • @SpartanDara117 The T-28 is easier to fly than this one and is still one of my favorites.

  • @joehandsome99 I have the T-28 micro MAN that thing is a dream to fly! Its so easy to bank its pretty level its fast and its stable. I have only one complate and I want to know if you have it to. I was flying my Trojan and crashed it a few times at first and when I was putting it up ont of the main gear fell off both of the main gear fall off but the nose gear is fine do you have this problem?

  • great looking model and loved the inverted flying

  • Is the spektrum DX7 good? I was going to get one soon? Is it worth it?

  • @flyboyfx I am having a great time with my DX7 right now.

  • @joehandsome99 ME 2 !!! :)

  • Eric,

If you had to take the wing off to fit this plane in your car everytime, how much of a pain is it? Also how did the flaps work? Did they slow the Stinson down to a crawl?

  • @SplitHairz Just got back from flying the Stinson. It is a pain to break the wing down in my opinion, but if you have to do that then it is a little easier with the body clips on the wing supports. I experimented with my flaps today and reduced the throw to make it a little smoother. I'd say about half of the total servo throw is all that is needed for the flaps for a nice landing.

  • @joehandsome99 Thanks for the info.

  • Very nice review. Hwo would you describe the landing qualities compared to the PZ Extra 300 or Messerschmitt ? Can you come in at relatively slow speed given the upper wing construction ? cheers !

  • @Lamaboy77 yes, this plane can slow down much more that those you mentioned.

  • Do yourself a BIG favor, with any foam plane get some Minwax Polycrylic 1/2 pint semi-gloss or gloss, clean off the foam with rubbing alcohol, with a brush give it 2 or 3 coats of polycrylic (NOT polyurethane) and it makes the colors/decals really 'pop', gives it a smooth finish which makes the plane fly more efficient and wiping off dirt/dust is much easier instead of dirt getting embedded into the foam. It adds hardly any wight and really looks sharp. I did this with my Parkzone T-28 and wow!!

  • you make very nice vids but do you do nitro planes

  • @MrHotrod68 I have a few nitro planes, just no videos of them. I will have to do one soon. Thanks for asking.

  • Wow that's a beaty ... great stuff Eric!

  • @Jordmate Thanks Richard.

  • Great videos! thanks for your time and effort.

I have some questions, how does compare with the T-28? it has the same motor, but because of the wings position, is it slow compared with the T-28? I can't decide wich to get! THANKS!

  • @etraud1973 It is a little slower than the T28. The T28 is more agile than the stinson.

  • when your binding what is the little bind plug for?

  • @sullski19 Thats to put the Rx in bind mode.

  • Nicely done. Stinsons are cool planes. I noticed you took off and landed without flaps. I would like to see how they helped with slow speeds next time. Thumbs up.

    ~NightFlyyer~

  • @NightFlyyer I actually landed the last time with flaps. They do help to slow the plane down for a gentle landing. Just flew it again this morning. It is a great scale plane. Thanks for the thumbs up Dave.

  • Nicely done. Stinsons are cool planes. I noticed you took off and landed without flaps. I would like to see how they helped with slow speeds next time.

  • Nice job Eric, hows the flaps working out, I have one too, no time to fly it,lol.

  • @eggyhed The flaps are a nice addition to the plane. Just dont throw the flaps as far as the servo will allow. It is a little too much. I reduced my flaps by about half of the servo throw and that worked out great for me.

  • @joehandsome99 I took the ar500 out and put in the ar6200 which is set up for a plane with flaps, because you can adjust the flaps and elev. to work together, making a very slow and easy landing.

  • @eggyhed I may have to try that. Thanks for the info Bob.

  • Great plane! Great Flying! Great Cameraman! Thumbs up!

  • @DrDave1911 Thanks kindly Dave.

  • Great looking plane. Good job. Great video.

  • the 1800 mah 11.1v and 2200mah 11.1v are really popular

  • You are always satisfied with the Parkzone models, are you on their payroll? I'm not being a smart ass I'm just looking for an honest review.

  • @snm1117 I buy all my RC models snm1117 and would love to be in their favor, but as it stands I am just another MF'er (model flyer). LOL..... Horizon Hobby has great planes and I am attracted to them. I like their planes and the fact that they make quality products. I also buy from Nitroplanes, Hobby Lobby, Red Rocket Hobby, and Tower Hobbies as you can see from my work shop. I also review many other products. Thanks for watching and the comment.

That plane looks awesome in the air- thanks to Beanmeister I know it's not easy to fly those RC things. You make it look easy Eric!!
