  • Most of this ride used to be the "African Queen" boat ride. It was a "Jungle Cruise" type ride that featured real animals and a real "African Headhunter" who used to jump out of one of the huts shouting gibberish and frightening the riders. The animals were usually asleep or hiding and the "Headhunter" wasn't P.C. so the ride was closed and recycled to add the lift hill and drop and the Tanganyika Tidal Wave was born. I only rode it once in the early 80's but I remember it well.

  • the water looks nasty and dirty...

  • i remember my first time on this i was crying and i was like " get me off! get me off!" right b4 the drop

  • Going in 2 days !! <3

  • This is just like the Jurrasic Park ride in Universal's Island of Adventure......... It peaceful then you take a wrong turn you go up a big hill think you are going to go down a big drop but its just a little drop then there is a little bump then you go down a really big drop then the ride is over by saying " you have survived the river adventure" i survived tht river adventure like 20 time in the last spring break

  • @CraziiLOLx3 Yeah but Jurassic Park River Adventure is a lot cooler, but I live really close to Busch Gardens so I've been on Tidal Wave more. It's kinda boring until the drop.

  • i was sooo scared on that ride i wanted to sit in the middle and it waz to late!

  • Thumbs up if you fast-forward it to the part with the lift!

  • I love the ladies voice in the background!

  • I'm also aware that whistles aren't dry...

  • The bridge at the end which you go under... there's a certain point you can stand on that and not get wet at all! I managed to amaze a bunch of Asian tourists when I came out dry as a whistle haha

  • The lady complaining about sheikra = <3

  • im going there this summer

  • dude me and my sister went on that 6 times and we didnt have to get off cause no one was in line! then these really cute guys sat behide us! :D

  • it looks like a cool ride!! :D!

  • you guys talking is the best part of the video lol

  • 4:35 and...im wet...thats what she said :D

  • This ride was kinda boring fro me, but I love the gum rock. Haha, at 0:57 it's the rock stiking out to the right.

  • Thank you for putting this video up, this brings back so many memories. My dad and I had annual passes and we would go there all the time when we lived in Florida. Now I'm living in Alabama and I miss Busch Gardens!

  • @exreptile666

Same with my cousin, he used to live in Saint petersburg, but about 8-9 years ago, he moved, and everytime he visits, he insists on going to busch gardes here. Me and my mom have passes, so we go all the time. Love this ride, the first three times I went on it, the guy who was supposed to go with me chickened out right before we left the station, and I never noticed it untill the end, and I was like, did you like it? and I turned around and he wasn't there, LOL. XD

  • I have a season pass now I I think I will do each ride if it doesn't get me tossed out of the park. I got tossed out once for calling the aligators, not cool =(

  • Great!!! Thank you for putting the whole video up!!!!!!!!!!!! And only posted yesterday!!
