@alycat1624 that doesn't work for dissolved solids, which constitute a good portion of all impurities, many of which are toxic. also, boiling will kill pathogens... but most pathogens are deadly from the toxins they release. and in most cases, boiling can't destroy those toxins.

Vegatarians can eat legumes instead of meant because the chemical structure is very similar. We should also eat nuts, vegetables, fruits (no new breedings), eggs and berries. We should avoid carbohydrates like sugar, sweets, potatoes, cereal and rice because that causes diabetes, depressions and other diseases.

What part of OMNIVORE don't people understand? Humans are meant to eat anything digestible that won't harm them. This means animals & plants. But our ancestors relied primarily on meat because meat can be caught, is easily digested, and is safe for our bodies. Many plants were/are undigestible or poisonous, many veggies/fruits out of season, but meat was always available. FYI: Cholesterol is what our brains are made of, and people on statins often suffer from bad memory/fuzzy thinking/dementia.

That said, nuts/seeds are NOT a problem at all, however, its better to soak them, sprout them if possible. Point though, a food forest system is best, and with that obviously you'll have to eat what will grow there(this is how it used to be, seems the native americans were pretty healthy)

im eating a steak....im healthy...you just need to keep fit and drink water. my ancestors lived of meat 1000s of years nothing going to happen to you if you take a bite of a juicy cooked steak. just make sure you have pure water. eat fruits and veggies to have like a course dinner. i usally eat a banana or apple before my day starts.

@TCFNicole, ask yourself where the B12 in the meat (of herbivores) you eat comes from? If it's in a cow (an herbivore) then clearly B12 is in fact "vegetarian" though not directly. Research it and you'll learn that the environmental source of B12 is bacteria. Some of the B12 producing bacteria live within us and produce it in our bodies, while soil bacteria also produce it. So in a natural setting an herbivore will find vegetarian sources of B12 on the plants that they consume...just like us.

This does not work for every body. My blood sugar actually becomes unstable when I consume many fruits at all. My body really, really appreciates when I am consuming more veggies, a healthy amount of fats (but not too much, it's definitely more than 10% though), and at least one good serving of protein today coming from an animal product. I eat mostly fish and turkey products because of my AB blood type. This keeps my blood sugars stable and not wanting to eat all the time.
WARNING 801010 is just a new niche fad diet market, which people like Dr Doug Graham and Harley Johnstone are taking advantage of. It is very deficient in key nutrients. I have followed the "fat wars" for 35 years. Eating mostly veggie, fresh juice, lots of raw veggies, even longer. I overcame cancer at 24 and at 61 I'm in excellent health with a degree in nutrition I believe a 10 % fat diet is too low. When fats come from animal products and heated oil health will improve when cut out but a better choice is good fat, nuts, avo and yes, olive oil. We need omega 3 fatty acids for health, for sexuality, healthy hair and skin and heart and mental function.

Thanks for the info. However this way of eating is pretty expensive. I just spent $55 for one days worth of food. All I bought was 20 bananas, 30 dates and a papaya. The melon by itself was the most expensive ($22). Bananas are expensive due to cyclones in Australia ($6/kg). I remember when bananas were .99c a kilo. I wanted to eat all 30 dates but could not eat more than 21.

No one can be on the perfect diet. I think that Dr. Bass is the best person in terms of nutrition that I know of. He doesn't hit on what it takes to be an athlete though. He is imperfect too. High greens that are raw are best with kelp or iodine supplement. Low on the fruits but you do need to eat more if you are an athlete. I was an athlete and now I am biking and hiking up huge hills 2 hours a day and I need more food then most people. I am not a guru fraud. ORGAN meats are dense superfood.
I really do agree about oils, but carbs and high natural sugar is converted into fat in the bloodstream. Saturated food is not the only thing that can be bad for the heart, but high glycemic diets that are converted into fat. There is NO perfect diet. The key is to try to have a very balance diet of many things and exercise ALOT...
@durianriders If you are not burning up the natural sugar through exercise, then it is stored up as fat, so alot of all these obsession these people have with telling people to watch the carbs is because people are not exercising enough to burn it off. I do think that high amount of green food is the best but fruit is great if you need energy. Alot of these health gurus do not have menus out there for people exercising alot. I hike and bike alot and need to eat alot. People have to eat.

STeve Jobs just died from cancer on a fruitarian diet with low amounts of greens. If you need alot of energy through exercise more fruit could be eaten, but I think too much of a good thing is not good. It is good to have a wide variety of food to be healthy, sprouts, green food especially.

@durianriders Overly carbs will become fat, you shouldn't ingest them more that your body consumes. And you need to eat some fat as well. To continue, high glycemic diets are good for nobody, as rapidly adsorbing carbs have a strong tendency to turn into fat. And having some exercise is just natural for your body, that's the way it has always been.. til the office works etc arrived. Too heavy exercise can be harmful for heart disease patients though.

I eat raw honey and I do include cold pressed olive oil, but I do worry that even the honey may feed cancer cells. Definately if someone is working out alot their diet has to become modified based on their output.

Dear, it's only certain carbs that are "converted" to fat. You should never confuse natural, healthy carbs from vegetables and fruits with the frankenstien low-fat processed foods.
The simple fact is this: you're either using sugar for body fuel, or you're using fat. People can do well on diets that eliminate sugars for protein / fat, and on diets that eliminate protein / fat for sugars, but they will never do well on processed junk food and sugar sodas.
Complex carbs are the superior ones and simple carbs are the bad ones but high glygemic foods such as WHEAT, potatoes, and other starches convert into fats. People should watch how many high glycemic foods they ingest. Shocking your pancreas is not something you want to continually do. Quinoa and Sprouted Buckwheat are great choices. I don't eliminate the foods above, I am just aware of it right now.

What part of OMNIVORE don't people understand? Humans are meant to eat anything digestible that won't harm them. This means animals & plants. But our ancestors relied primarily on meat because meat can be caught, is easily digested, and is safe for our bodies. Many plants were/are undigestible or poisonous, many veggies/fruits out of season, but meat was always available. FYI: Cholesterol is what our brains are made of, and people on statins often suffer from bad memory/fuzzy thinking/dementia.

@velkom yeah yeah, most wild varieties are bitter, and, the more you eat, the less "bitter" they are, they just seem normal. That said, nuts/seeds are NOT a problem at all, however, its better to soak them, sprout them if possible. Point though, a food forest system is best, and with that obviously you'll have to eat what will grow there(this is how it used to be, seems the native americans were pretty healthy)

@TCFNicole, ask yourself where the B12 in the meat (of herbivores) you eat comes from? If it's in a cow (an herbivore) then clearly B12 is in fact "vegetarian" though not directly. Research it and you'll learn that the environmental source of B12 is bacteria. Some of the B12 producing bacteria live within us and produce it in our bodies, while soil bacteria also produce it. So in a natural setting an herbivore will find vegetarian sources of B12 on the plants that they consume...just like us.

This does not work for every body. My blood sugar actually becomes unstable when I consume many fruits at all. My body really, really appreciates when I am consuming more veggies, a healthy amount of fats (but not too much, it's definitely more than 10% though), and at least one good serving of protein today coming from an animal product. I eat mostly fish and turkey products because of my AB blood type. This keeps my blood sugars stable and not wanting to eat all the time.

I have followed the "fat wars" for 35 years. Eating mostly veggie, fresh juice, lots of raw veggies, even longer. I overcame cancer at 24 and at 61 I'm in excellent health with a degree in nutrition I believe a 10 % fat diet is too low. When fats come from animal products and heated oil health will improve when cut out but a better choice is good fat, nuts, avo and yes, olive oil. We need omega 3 fatty acids for health, for sexuality, healthy hair and skin and heart and mental function.

Thanks for the info. However this way of eating is pretty expensive. I just spent $55 for one days worth of food. All I bought was 20 bananas, 30 dates and a papaya. The melon by itself was the most expensive ($22). Bananas are expensive due to cyclones in Australia ($6/kg). I remember when bananas were .99c a kilo. I wanted to eat all 30 dates but could not eat more than 21.

No one can be on the perfect diet. I think that Dr. Bass is the best person in terms of nutrition that I know of. He doesn't hit on what it takes to be an athlete though. He is imperfect too. High greens that are raw are best with kelp or iodine supplement. Low on the fruits but you do need to eat more if you are an athlete. I was an athlete and now I am biking and hiking up huge hills 2 hours a day and I need more food then most people. I am not a guru fraud. ORGAN meats are dense superfood.

I really do agree about oils, but carbs and high natural sugar is converted into fat in the bloodstream. Saturated food is not the only thing that can be bad for the heart, but high glycemic diets that are converted into fat. There is NO perfect diet. @durianriders If you are not burning up the natural sugar through exercise, then it is stored up as fat, so alot of all these obsession these people have with telling people to watch the carbs is because people are not exercising enough to burn it off. I do think that high amount of green food is the best but fruit is great if you need energy. Alot of these health gurus do not have menus out there for people exercising alot. I hike and bike alot and need to eat alot. People have to eat.

@durianriders I hate to say this, but I do agree with Dr Bass about high fruit diets. I think it can feed cancer cells. STeve Jobs just died from cancer on a fruitarian diet with low amounts of greens. If you need alot of energy through exercise more fruit could be eaten, but I think too much of a good thing is not good. It is good to have a wide variety of food to be healthy, sprouts, green food especially.

@durianriders thats not true at all what you just stated. and carbs dont become fat in the blood they raise insulin which primes your body for storing fat. if ur diet is mostly protein and fats u will shed tremendous amounts of body fat (not that im recomending for the average person balanced diets are best).. u seem like a healthy person but recomending 10% of ur diet from fat is rediculous u need fat for proper hormone function. if u ever try to build muscle with a 10% fat diet good fuccn luck

@durianriders Overly carbs will become fat, you shouldn't ingest them more that your body consumes. And you need to eat some fat as well. To continue, high glycemic diets are good for nobody, as rapidly adsorbing carbs have a strong tendency to turn into fat. And having some exercise is just natural for your body, that's the way it has always been.. til the office works etc arrived. Too heavy exercise can be harmful for heart disease patients though.

@durianriders They dont promote a vegan diet nor high carb. High carbs has been proven bad for you. They promote a balanced diet with meat and veggies and fruit. They also dont promote minimal exericise either.

@soldierside365 That is not nessessarily true. I looked up GI listings and that is definately not true. Watermelon is through the roof.
High on the greens low on the fruits and I also don't believe in juicing or blending...just eat it raw.
I am trying cut down on cold pressed oils. Everyone has weaknesses. Steve Jobs died and he was a fruitarian on a very minimal diet. He was very low on the greens. Green food is SOD, super oxide dismutase. The more oxygen you have, it kills cancer cells.

you make a fair point, with watermelons, completely forgot about those haha. and juices. being a meateater/veggie (i try to eat vegetables as carbs mostly) i add oils to make it generally taste better.. im not an athlete, but im not sedentary by any means, and fats like peanutbutter helps me feel full when im out working (physically both for money and excercise) and helps my endurance.. but you're 100% correct with 'there is no perfect diet' its about what works for the individual

@soldierside365 No there is no perfect diet, but there seems to be much documentation right now concerning high levels of natural sugar, or refined sugar in the body.
I have eliminated juices from my diet, and I am aware of the need to go high on greens low on fruit.
I eat raw honey and I do include cold pressed olive oil, but I do worry that even the honey may feed cancer cells. Definately if someone is working out alot their diet has to become modified based on their output.

the peculiar thing about nutritional science is that it changes so frequently that no one knows what to believe anymore when it comes to the effects of food. for instance, natural sugars vs refined sugars. why is one supposedly better than the other? and now you're saying that they're not. im not getting at you by saying that, but there is so much information that conflicts that its almost not worth reading! and dont worry about cancer. by the sounds of things, you wont get it!

@soldierside365 Well, I am radiantly healthy and completely ripped physically and I am euphoric and high on life. Refined sugar is bad for you. I am a raw foodist. I am also an expert on nutrition and health. I was an athlete for numbers of years and for many years I have been extremely disciplined and I am completely ripped and extremely happy. Sorry if that upsets you.

fortunately not everyone listens to you. some know that juicing or blending is better for them e.g. those with no teeth! did you think of that or were you just being sloppily overgeneral aka wrong? how about pancreatic problems leading to poor digestion? how about common intestinal issues like malabsorbtion?

I feel so ripped and I feel so incredibly healthy it is amazing!!!!!!!!!! I hike up huge hills for miles everyday for two hours...I love it. I am so healthy and high on life.

@danielskipp1 My diet is so incredible. Raw Buckwheat groats sprouted everyday. Soaked and sprouted mung and aduki beans almost everyday. Raw cold smoked sockeye salmon, raw anchovies, RAW free range egg yolk and cooked egg white in water. RAW Kale, RAW green foods, tons of it.
Bee Pollen, Kelp that is almost raw..sauerkraut, I do not eat raw food candy bars. No chocolate. I love popcorn though. I feel incredible. I have alot of organic berries. Cantalope...I am FLYING HIGH ON LIFE. I'm Ripped

Dear, it's only certain carbs that are "converted" to fat. You should never confuse natural, healthy carbs from vegetables and fruits with the frankenstien low-fat processed foods.
The simple fact is this: you're either using sugar for body fuel, or you're using fat. People can do well on diets that eliminate sugars for protein / fat, and on diets that eliminate protein / fat for sugars, but they will never do well on processed junk food and sugar sodas.

Complex carbs are the superior ones and simple carbs are the bad ones but high glygemic foods such as WHEAT, potatoes, and other starches convert into fats. People should watch how many high glycemic foods they ingest. Shocking your pancreas is not something you want to continually do. Quinoa and Sprouted Buckwheat are great choices. I don't eliminate the foods above, I am just aware of it right now.

@littledeadybear Quinoa, Kale, berries, Raw Buckwheat are low glycemic and they can be used for energy. I like Bee Pollen. Shocking your pancreas and a blood PH which becomes acid is not that good. Too much fruit can throw off the blood PH and high glycemic food. It is like yin and yang

Yes. Also very true. : ) It's important to know where your carbs are from. We shouldn't overload ourselves on them, but when we're fed the right amounts from the right sources, we thrive. The 'right kind' and the 'right amount' will never be processed foods.

@littledeadybear glucose/sugar feeds fat and non fat cells. Too much sugar creates a surplus of glucose, and an insulin spike. Unused sugar is shuttled into fat cells, where they grow to store the energy. High sugars also create high triglycerides, which contribute to circulatory diseases and CVD.

Yes, what you have said is true, as true as truth can be when restricted to 500 characters.
What I'm saying is that carbs like High Fructose Corn Syrup, 75% of the energy WILL be converted to fat. While with simple sugars from fruits and vegetables, that 75% energy is used for cellular repair, rather than sitting about uselessly and clogging things up.
