@rlion2005 Wow................ I'm so jealous! You're so lucky! I wish I could go there, but a) I'm DEFINITELY not good enough b) I don't have the body shape (I blame my genes for that one) and c) I've been training for almost 11 years (part time) and I can't do many of these things with the amazing line, strength and grace that's required. But I really enjoy it and even if I can't do it like I wish I could, I'm going to keep it up, and maybe become a dance teacher or photographer. :)
This is the most UNgifted class at the Vaganova Ballet Academy ever!
Unfirtunately, ms. Gortchakova posted herself here, and couldn't say anything else about the Academy in general as she was expelled!
Seriously, ALL girls classes at the Vaganova have great turn out, extentsions, feet! But not in this class! No wonder that NOBODY from this class became a soloist/principal anywhere! And most of this girls were expelled out from the Vaganova right after this year and later on !!!
@rlion2005 i'm sure you must be a very good dancer, as you have said yourself that you could do better and have been there before. but still, is there a need to be so harsh with your criticism? i know you must be an amazing dancer, from your history, but still, you don't have to be so contemptuous to this class. constructive criticism is fine, but all you did was put the class down and emphasize how they couldn't make it and were all expelled. NOT helpful. you just made yourself sound arrogant.
@LKMrox457 :0) I dont konw perhaps like soloseal?!? but there are many teachers who teaches different...like everywhere, and I think these are professional schools...
i wish i had the same training, but theres none as traditional as vaganova in the US. i jusst admire all these videos, it gives me shivers of how beautiful this school is.
Russia is full of talents like these.. !

The piano sounds really old, and it's not because of the video.

Believe or NOT, yes!
I could & I did better ... because I was there (at the Vaganova Ballet Academy for 8 years, then in KIROV-Mariinsky for 3 years ...)

They are all just ... magnifisent!! And yet just children!!!

I love that one kid in the back that was making goofy faces! They dance so gloriously but it's nice to see that they are still just children.
