  • Very good, self taught again very good. Trying to learn myself still unable to get the hang of it .

  • Wow you did a great job on this song.. This is one of my favorite songs and I really love how you put your own twist to this song! Wow :)

  • i love this song. Not too shabby. Thumbs up

  • I'm a guitar player, and I have to commend your ability. I never learned to play and sing. Maybe it's because I can't sing, but oh well. Are you self-taught on the guitar?

    The only thing I would note though is that the guitar is out of tune. If you have a tuner already and it falls out of tune like that, it may be because the strings are too old, the guitar is bent/warped out of shape and too old, etc.

    In any case, I am surprised how many HATEFUL people are on your pages (anti-gays). Shame : /

  • @binhthanhvo Thank you for your advice and yes I am self taught....... the strings on it are the strings that were on it when I first purchased it in 2009.....

    so I will try changing the strings and see if that helps....

    And it doesn't matter what you do or where you go in life there will always be hateful people

  • I find that if you concentratemore on the rhythym "between" the singing and the playing, you would probably have better success.

  • ....seeing as how I am learning and on my own....

    Tell me what is wrong with the rhythm and be a little more detailed please?

  • I'm sorry, love. I think my words are probably coming across harsh and that's not what was intended. I was only suggesting that since singing and playing is so difficult and as before, even for me, an idea would be getting the rhythms down separately and then counting "between" them, if that's making any sense. It's almost the same as counting polyrthythms, but some of the counts are singing parts. That's all I was trying to convey. . . . .promise!♥

  • OH no, it's ok, I understood where you were coming from......

  • It takes a very special kind of voice to sound so good without a lot of special studio effects. I think your voice goes quite well with the accoustic guitar.

    Maybe I am letting in some of my biases, being an old geezer who grew up loving the folk scene and intimate coffee houses and other small venues of the 1960s.

    At any rate, I am enjoying this greatly.

  • Thanks lefty, I am a simple person really and love oldies and 70's Soul......as if no one could tell......lol

  • Beautiful song by a beautiful woman. You are already playing the guitar like a pro.

  • I am late but thank you AidanNagolxxx

  • wow, great voice, the guitar-playing sounds good, also!

  • Thank you Baaweh....... got a long way to go with the guitar......lol

  • @lovie2000 : That's okay. I'm struggling with it as well. Some songs I can play and sing to a degree success. Singing and playing an instrument is a lot tougher than I originally thought. But with constant practice, it seems to fall in place after a while. Keep at lovely!!!!

  • Yes it definitely is woodie, it is kinda of trying to play and sing at the same time, especially when your brain is focused on trying to play an instrument that you have never played before, but I am striving to get there in one piece......lol

  • i love it

  • girl you doing good!! youre singing in a different range from your usual...sound great..Peace and Blessings Grace

  • that was very nice

  • getting a lot better. peace. gregg

  • Lovie, as you can imagine, this song and its lyrics mean a lot to me. Your sweet voice just makes it even better. I have it on my home page so I can listen to it every morning as I gird up for another day. Double thanks.

  • I just bought my first "good" acoustic a couple weeks ago... i think you are doing great!

  • If you ever do a jig in Cleveland Ohio let me know.

  • I hope u never fear those mountains in the distance, Never settle for the path of least resistance; Loving might mean taking chances but they're worth taking, Loving might be a mistake, but it's worth making;

    Don't let some hell-bent heart leave u bitter, When u come close to selling out reconsider; Give the heavens above more than just 1 glance, and when u get the choice to sit it out or dance;

    I hope u dance......... I hope you dance

  • I can't click off this one without saying: Incredibly sweet lyrics, and I remain envious of your seeming ability to master everything you lay your touch on.
