im not sure if you have to take extra curricular activities when your in high school or in middle school, like debate or science Olympiad, etc. Cause iv noticed that many air lines take extra stuff really far.

I'm a trainee airline pilot, in the united kingdom and will be flying airliners in Europe dependant on the job market in the next 9 months. I seriously would not worry to much, some things can be good for your cv / resume. Things that show team work, leadership skills. Basically anything that says something about you as a person this could be charity work, cadets or something as simple as been captain of your school football team.

not really, u just have to get a high school diploma, and get all the FAA certificates and accumulate as many hours u need for the airline (usually about 1500 hours), and thats it, or u can get some kind of diploma in a college and the airliners will consider you even more.

There's 3...the center one has two indentaions so you can grasp the 3 throttles comfortably with 4 fingers...I always thought it was strange, but that's how Douglas did it...

Normally we don't land on the threshold. If we follow the PAPI lights, we should land right on the 1,000 foot markers aka aiming point markers.
