I can't wait until I get my Commercial Pilot's License. I've been in the cockpit once while in flight and the view is indescribable. Seeing it on a video is pretty awesome, but nothing matches actually being there. Also does anyone know who sings the song in this video?

Once before i started with SkyWest, i was a ramp agent for Jet Blue, and i would always go sit in the cockpit and mess around with stuff cause i knew what i was doing, it was awesome being in the A320 cockpit turning on the APU and everything like I was the pilot.

But now i actually fly a jet, it's just an RJ but it still flying and that's all that counts.

Here in the U.S. speed is 250kts or under up to 10,000ft (Unless otherwise instructed by ATC). Once 18,000ft is reached it is then not only knots to Mach but Feet to FlightLevel.

i noticed that speed in flight level 380 is 0.80 mach.cruise speed in 737 is o.78 mach so is it an airbus a 320 or it flies little speeder due to high altitude?

No it's a 737 NG. 0.78 is an economic speed. It can make up to 0.81 in that altitude.

Great video and great soundtrack -- while it lasted. However, the cuts to to the PFD displays are backwards. The last one shows a climb while apparently descending, and the first, level flight while climbing!! Any pilot will know it's wrong!!

You're right on the last one. The first one was actually meant as a transition from climb to level flight - to show we're in cruise now. The view of the mountains is actually in level 380.

Also the map display just before landing is also totally wrong. I just didn't care enough :-)
