I think they're playing to a backing track. You can hear keyboards but there's no keyboardist on stage. And at 1:46 there's only Charlie singing but it sounds like a huge choir.

Dragonforce had a great singer, cheesy lyrics, and they abused the power of speed, and computerized guitar effects. There really wasnt any originality. True, their first album or so, it was amazing, then after that all the songs just sounded the same.
