Slavic slingshot with a golf ball

I guess that looks like a good way of getting rid of a golf ball that you don't want... but is it accurate and useful for anything else? Like ~hitting~ a target you wish to hit?

It looks like the pouch does not cup sufficiently to hold the golf ball reliably, but then I'm not seeing a closeup view of it.  Well, any sling is better than no sling.
