  • Actually, the fact that you could die from all these worms makes this program interresting to watch... :)

  • Now I know what has happened to right wing conservatives! They are have their heads full of amoebas that are eating what little brains they have. It explains how delusional, insane and idiotic right wing conservatives are. I'd feel sorry for them except for the fact that they constantly try to hurt other people.

  • why cant the pparasites just hack our computers instead of our precoius body

  • i'll never swim in a lake again.

  • fuck you, animal planet,

    Sign

    Me

  • im not swimming in any lakes

  • u can't get this swimming in pools or the ocean rite? i don't think u can, so just go swim in a pool or oceann and u'll b fine. (correct me if im wrong)

  • @ThePrretyPanda yah but that's like.you're head kinda thing. sounds retarded i know but. brain shield is so much more cool, i mean, picture the different types of BRAIN SHIELD you could have. like, you could have a brain shield made of CHEESE layering you're head....yeah...cheese...

  • my brain started to ache

  • -whispers in evil voice- damn u amoeba >;o

  • I wonder what are the chances of catching this.

  • @aznxwanabe same here

  • @alenoguerol666

its extremely rare to get it, but still, if u wanna make sure u don't get it dont go swimming in lakes, rivers, hot springs, or really any body of freshwater

  • @aznxwanabe don't worry they are low but if u swim in a lake be careful if so don't swallow or let water somehow go inside of you (through cut, eyes, mouth, nose, ears, etc.) they are super fatal.

  • I'm arming my white blood cells with RPG's and Ak47's.

    Nothing is invading my body!

  • soon these parasites will be able to get in our brains and control us to find food..their strategies amaze me..

  • @fermerwuvu ZOMBIES!!!!!

  • Fuck you SATAN it is you who all made this Shits!!!

  • @PivotYoungster "Satan" would be incapable of creating something as complex as an amoeba (or as complex as life in general for that matter).

This amoeba isn't "evil" or born or "created" as evil for that matter. It doesn't (or can't) know that it's harming someone. It's born to feed, and feed (on the cell) it will. This is very avoidable anyway, so if "Satan" did created it, he outta do a lot better than this.

  • @daangelo29 is Satan Your God???? Is he is then go eat a WORM!! and fuck your own sister!!! BTW, Your mother is a SLUT i fucked her a while ago!

  • @PivotYoungster And you call yourself a Christian with this kind of comment. The irony.

  • Comment removed

  • @daangelo29 Ok Fine!!! YOu win!!!! Satan is a NOOB Guy who created nothing!

  • at least the amoeba got a life ---- O.O

  • It's funny how people try to be funny and really really do fail so in reality yes , yes you are funny but only cause your a dumbass . Just look at this moron 2 comments below me .

  • OMG IM GOING TO PARK STAITION IM ASKING MY MOM FOR NOSE PLUGS!!

  • @gottalovetheDSi

just stay away from lakes and bodies of warm freshwater. i don't think it lives in salt water

  • i saw this show the boy at 2:10 he died

  • @ryangreenful o yea i remember this one the bor boy but its better for him to be dead then suffering

  • that's is really scary :o

  • Too bad we can't light them on fire :\ I want to kill those suckers

  • @Blooberry95 well there is one way elivate your systems to extreme temps. that will kill it but that will also destroy you. mother nature will kills us one way or an other. i think its time we evolve into superhumans.

  • @DickKnowsBest :P yes, the headaches are actually coming from using the computer too much. Since I started taking breaks from using the computer, my headaches have stopped occuring.. I went psycho!

  • Francine is the best!!!

  • :P Is it in the pool too? How long does it take just get to the brain? Last month, I went to my niece's pool party, and no one was wearing nose plugs, and neither me.. Also, it's a public pool since it is placed in community living.. I've been having some headaches, and I'm thinking I have Brain Amoeba.. Although, I happened to have a car crash resulting the airbag hitting my right eye..

  • good thing i trained my white blood cells like Spartans....

BLOODCELLS!!!! TONIGHT WE DINE ON AMOEBA.. EAT EVERYTHING AND TREAT THEM LIKE NOTHING

  • just poar mercury in every lake nearby, and you'll never get the amoeba ;D

  • Why can't parasites be polite. They could just walk up to me and be like "Hey, i need some food" And i would just give it a burger. No one needs to die

  • @xSPxNiiNJAx Parasites are predators gone lazy. They are not like the usual predators that say "hey i want to make your death short and painless" parasites are the "i want to make you scream" tipe...literally.

  • well i guess i'm not swimming in lakes anymore! that just made me paroniod for life

  • cell wall O_o

  • 9MM HOLLOW POINT SHOULD BE THE CURE:)

  • .... im... just.... going..... to hide in a corner in my room and wear a helmet, for I don't know, the next four years..

  • if you smoke weed would it kill them because they would get high and die ?

  • swim in saltwater

  • fuck this just show makes me not want to do stuff i like to do or i wanted to do

  • first,i dont go under water in dirty lake water

second,I hate going under without nose plugs

    and last,EW

  • Ok Creepie......

  • I'm worried now. How can people avoid this and what are the signs nowing they have it?

  • @GTAIVFan17

well because i got a little creeped out over this thing i did a bit of research, and the early signs r a stiff neck, headache that wont go away, vomiting, and a fever. later symptoms r signs of brain damage

  • Never swam in a lake, never will. O__o

Thumbs up if you feel scared of this and/or twitchy

  • @chickpixie1 lol i am all of them

  • @chickpixie1 i just feel like a mother fucker because a week or 2 ago i was swimming in a river just like the one at the end of the vid

  • there smarter then us omg but not that smart clever

  • now I will never go swimming outside an indoor pool again, not even hawaii or florida

  • @geo58impala

u can swim in pools as long as its well chlorinated

  • Hmm. Is this Naegleria fowleri?

  • is this amoeba naegleria fowleri?

  • @toriibabiix0 yes.

  • #OMG

  • We need Chuck Norris in our blood stream instead of white blood cells...

  • hed kick that shell to the 9th deminsion

  • @s0ulsuviva nah, make it chuck norris, bruce lee, kimbo slice, and jackie chan, and make them all clones, with guns, and knives, and other stuffs XDD LOOOOL

  • we need...head-on

  • Wear aluminum foil around your head it helps against aliens not to read you memories.

  • i wont be able to sleep well tonight

  • So basically to survive a trip to the beach a you must have ninja assains for white boold cells....

  • @Sedeamed

i don't think it lives in the ocean. cuz it lives in freshwater not salt water i think

  • Africa?

  • why the hell are these things here anyways god this is just torcher just kill them all already god

  • @lucario674 Do you really think it's that easy? They're microscopic.

  • A video about creeping bugs, and i get a video ad about gardening. Not a good omen.

  • if that shit got in me.. LITERALLY STAB IT OUT!

  • looks like one of those slimy toy hands that stick to the wall that you find in chips-bags

  • Gotta grab that level 2 armor now. OP Amoebas.

  • Comment removed

  • said wear nose plugs.. do we need to plug our asses and dick holes + pussies aswell?

  • smart motherfucker... im never going to a lake again :)

  • i aint gonna swim in a lake no more

  • So thats what causes cysts? Oh god my friend had me pop his cist, so there was one of those things in it? OH GOD BUDDY, WERE GETTING YOU A BRAIN VACUUM THIS CHRISTMAS

  • i hate fishing

  • Pretty scary I should say.

  • Yeah, it's called Naegleria fowleri. Sick shit, but it's not really common.

  • dam parasites!!! but very interesting and maybe good if u know a bit about them :o

  • it looks like a hand lol :P

  • We need a brain shield -.-

  • @SoloJcheung Yes, perhaps some kind of blood-brain barrier...

  • @SoloJcheung i wish theier is a brain shealdO_o

  • @mariomitch25931 there is its called the blood brain barrier but these amoeba can break threw the shield

  • @SoloJcheung we already have a shield the skull

  • @klaywaffle Well apparently it doesn't work to well against parasites.

  • @SoloJcheung we have 1 the skull .. but we need another 1 for the parasites lol

  • Cook your damn food!

  • @Linkster2o

u don't get it from food, u get it from swimming in warm bodies of freshwater

  • @meezergrl325 I think you're right but i'm noy sure salt water and chlorine will kill this living organism.

  • @MasTArrrRR

well wat im saying is that u can't get it from swimming in the ocean or well chlorinated pools. chlorine can actually kill the amoeba if the pool is well chlorinated, and salt water is kinda like alcohol i guess i should say. but im not saying that simply pouring in salt water or chlorine into bodies of freshwater is going to kill it lol

  • @meezergrl325 Yes you are right, correct. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear but yes that elaboration that you replied is exactly what I was saying. You're right.

  • @meezergrl325 correct, they live in stagnent bodies of water with alot of algea. even some lakes are safe to swim in because the water is always moving.

  • thhts a smart parasite lol

  • We need Brain force fields

  • @taydiablo1 I was just about to comment about nano technology to combat the parasite.

  • once i fell of a bouncy castle and fell head first on the edge of a flag( normally found on a drive way or a front garden)

and chiped a hole in my head

  • this is probably extremely rare. you probably are more likely to die from the flu then this.

  • @bcw324

it is rare but if you get it you have a 90% chance of dying and if you survive the brain damage, most likely to leave on severely retarded, will be irreversible

most likely you will die within less than 5 days of symptoms

  • @BAFRIENDINC2 I hate you for saying that because

1- I'm really smart and DO NOT want to be severely retarded.

2- I DO NOT want to die.

3- You DID NOT mention COOKIES.

    I'm most ticked off by #3 >=(

  • D: OMG!! EVIL THINGS

  • Which part of the USA doe's it live?

  • ameba sappin mah brain!! lol

no seriously this is one little motherfucker

  • Damn...

It look like no more swimming in the Lake for me :(

  • pussy

  • @RKcrystalsoul you do realize that if you dont clean your pool that you can still get infected with naegleria. Unclorinated pools are just as dangerous as lakes or rivers.

  • I don't think It can be in sea water, I mean the condition in sea water will be much harsh on it, right?

  • it could be found in anywhere esp in dirty water

  • Generally , the Naegleria Fowleri, lives in the bottom of warm bodies of water and feeds on bacteria, but in the brain, these things view the neural cells as a buffet.

  • from now on its pools all the way

  • Human brain cells do not have cell walls (0.44 seconds) sincerely, Ms. Walker's period 6 science class

  • Lol thats true, should be membrane...

  • I'm never taking a shower again =/

  • lol? U serious?

  • It lives in lake water, not showers.

  • @killweb2 Another thing when the out break of swine flu hit britan every one over paniced and when i say over i meen over! but then things like this are incredibley dangerous and practicley no one knows about this

  • This was in a House episode

  • Comment removed

  • @ drwickieno1 AMEN

  • this is one other cool creation by our good lord. amen!

  • It seems everywhere we go theres a danger From brain eating paracites or some crazy ass worms, Fuck im not gonna step out of my room....

  • there are literally billions of parasites/bugs/worms in ur room.

  • are you sure really

  • yea

  • this parasite can maybe actually used in a positive way to...if we can manage to clone or manipulate it to eat only tumors for example

  • But think we would also have to re write many of its DNA strands to actually get it to eat the tumor.

  • or to eat terrorists!

  • Not a bad Idea!

  • alternatypje - genetic engineering? yea we already saw how that turned out with the Krypton virus in "I Am Legend" I think ill vote against it

  • I, too, also let Hollywood decide what my positions on science are! Movie directors are totally experts!

  • @alternatypje good point! :O i like that one, hmmm...will kinda be tough though

  • @alternatypje yo thats so smart

i dont know y these scientists dont use that

  • fascinating thought -

Amoeba's genome is 100x as big as a humans.

i wonder if in future something like the xfiles black-oil could actually be created, given that an amoeba could carry around human-blueprints ...

  • why shouldent we die besides heavens a good place imagin eus flying in heaven it would be fun first fine life 2nd you suffer 3rd you die

  • ...some people pee in the water, they're putting us in danger! or are they? hmmm...weird...

  • they may be saving us

  • lol RobeonMew, right on!!

  • this amoeba killed 23 people between 1995 and 2004. Hmm, I think I should be worried

  • you should..even if 23 is a small number dosent mean you cant be killed by one

  • that's less then 3 people a year. The common flu kills more then 100 people a year, I don't see people worrying about getting the flu... Now I suppose I would worry about this, seeing as how thousands of people bath in the water without getting this, I'm guessing the people with weak immune systems would get this e.g. children, young adults.

  • but surely that doesnt work because even if u have a strong immune system you cannot get past the cist. but i obviously see your point. you would have to inhale the amobea through your nose. and they are usually situated at the bottom of the water exept for a few hours a week so yeah no sweat. but its still a pretty badass killer (unleas u have it of course)

  • thank god i dont know how to fucking swim

  • haha hobosown, you really did make me lol

  • @hobosown haha yeah me too man me too

  • damn thats one smart parasite would want it in my class tho

  • brain terrorist!!!!!!!!!! >:O

  • The amoeba can turn into a cyst to resist chemical attacks.

  • hmm.. yeah sometimes this show is pretty lame. They just are not giving great details... I would have guessed Naegleria fowleri too because they said to wear nose plugs for prevention...

  • What they dont tell you in this video is that this parasite is only found in naturally warm fresh water like stagnant pools, and is common only in the hot summer months like july and august. This amoeba is not found in salt water, or properly chlorinated or salted recreational water sources, and although tens of millions of people are exposed to it every year, in the last century there have been less than forty deaths due to this infection in the US, so relax. You're much more likely to DROWN.

  • I really wish they would be more specific of the amoeba's name. My guess is naegleria fowleri. This isnt a good show, its going to potentially make a bunch of people stress out in catastrophic ways.

But shame on these guys for just saying "Brain-eating Amoeba".. There are hundreds of different kinds of them.

  • i hope lake water is filtered well.......

  • well, that was enough to keep me out of the water for a few years.

  • You aint jokin. You wont see me around any pools or lakes. Pretty scary.

  • I don't feels like swimming anymore =.=

  • Talking about parasitical warfare that can destroy mankind, created by mad scientists

  • That's scary!

  • these somehow remind me of terrorists..

  • because your american

  • actually i'm korean

  • scary

  • there are way to many parasites now a days

  • Oh Shit!

  • there are antibiotics that work on it, though the chances are always iffy, you just need to catch it in it's early stages for the Meds to most likely work, the cases in a spacific region is really rare so I guess dont panic too much. not to mention those antibiotics can be a life saver ;3

  • note to self* never swim in lakes.. o.e
