Both games and the comics and film all follow one continuity and surprisingly as practically no flaws whatsoever, if you have half a braincell to put them together that is. The comics come first, then extraction and downfall happen at practically the same time, but are different peoples perspectives on the events. Then they end when the game begins, and then Dead Space 2 is 3 years after the first game. Pretty simple stuff :P

Actually the comics were still contradictory to Dead Spaces established time frames, but much less so then the movie and the prequel game IIRC. Not that the jumbles mess really bothers me (well the movie does because it just feels like they didn't even try, and not just for continuity reasons) but I wouldn't mind if they had tried a little harder to try and get the "canon" to make even some sense.

Well 1 the captain of the Ishimura Ship looks COMPLETELY different (but that is just a small complaint)

@Lusa5 the spirits are trying to convince them to kill themselves to give the alien a body to transform into a zombie thingamigger, thats why they say they want our bodys, so the aliens are related to the rock in that the rock makes people extremely depressed and paranoid thus making them a danger to themselves and everybody around them. this gives the aliens bodys to work with along with making survivors more vulnerable.

well you say RE is just an excuse to go waste bullets that's true if it's easy mode but normal or hard you barely get ammo so your not going to fight especially since there's more zombies so you would conserve ammo . RE4 lived up to it's hype the AI was good the locations were always different the creatures were harder to kill and the atmosphere was great with a great background music

The original one was black, but Earth Government reverse engineered it and went to a derelict system and put theirs on the planet.

On the Marker, there is an intricate code which is the DNA to create the Necromorphs.
