  • @realtraitor1 wisdom prevails. Thank you.

  • aaaaaahhhhhhhh WRONG!!! bananas do have seeds. get your facts straight woman

  • Forget the poisonous plastic "gadget" from China. Just use a knife!

  • This is a lie!! Natural wild bananas do have seeds..and big ones! This kind of bananas has been prepared over the century´s to grow without seeds. Eating bananas with seeds can be a little bit annoying...but more natural!

  • only fruits have seeds and a banana is not a fruit

  • @saintveil I could not get any to grow, I have gotten tomatoe seeds to grow and kiwi but I think the bananas are picked green and so the seeds are too immature to sprout, so next year I will buy a couple of plants. I visited the caribbean, beautiful place , nice people and I loved the food.

  • I need more than 500 words to truely explain this woman's ignorance, or to explain why bananas in stores don't have seeds. I'll explain without describing anything, so if confused, look word up. Seedless bananas, like seedless watermelons and grapes, are produced from crossing two banana plants with different ploidy levels. One parent is a diploid plant, and one is a tetraploid plant. Diploid pollen + haploid ovule = triploid egg = no seed production do to uneven chromosome number in mitosis.

  • "we have really cool gadgets to slice your banana..."

    ...yeah...its called a knife...

  • this woman is a moron. wild bananas do have seeds. but the ones we buy in the store have been genetically modified to not have them. which is why they cant reproduce by themselves anymore, and we have to keep planting a whole new branch to keep planting bananas.. which is why they are facing extinction.

also, who the hell needs a gadget to open a banana peel?? what an idiot.

  • lady wild bananas have seeds

  • I thought the dark ring in the middle were seeds.

and I agree with ronf89, those tools were funny, I can peel a banana and slice it and it is easy.

  • i am very confused if they have no seeds

how did the original banana plants grow

and spread to be the cultivar and staple that they are today

  • How lazy have we become that we need gadgets to peel and slice our bananas? Its called your hands and a butter knife. God!

  • This is ABSOLUTE MISINFORMATION! ... REAL, ORIGINAL, NON-HYBRID, WILD bananas DO have seeds! The seedless bananas we are accustom to are hybridized, therefore VERY high in SUGAR! Nature is self replicating through SEEDS!
