@BarJabba God has set an example in the book of Acts of receiving the Holy Ghost. The Jews, Gentiles and Samaritans all received the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues. Why do people have such a hard time with it? When one can't receive it, because maybe they are not really giving up everything to God or not getting in the spirit to receive it, they start to believe that we don't need it or it's not for everyone. We will soon see when Jesus rapture the church.

Holy Ghost??? I am not so sure. Charismatics do go a bit further than what the Holy Ghost intended. Once again, man seeks to put God in his little box, to control others by. Being joyful "corporately" is not what is wrong, it's if it is really God? I am not seeing God here. I believe and subject my spirit with the Holy Spirit. I use a talit and have been known to pray in a tongue. I just don't have it "Be seen of men". This wierd to me.

@BarJabba God has set an example in the book of Acts of receiving the Holy Ghost. The Jews, Gentiles and Samaritans all received the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues. Why do people have such a hard time with it? When one can't receive it, because maybe they are not really giving up everything to God or not getting in the spirit to receive it, they start to believe that we don't need it or it's not for everyone. We will soon see when Jesus rapture the church.

The HS said thru Paul we are not to think beyond what is written (1Cor 4:6) & no where is it written that the HS slays faithful believers like dead people, with the evidence of barking like dogs, roaring like lions, & laughing like hyenas. But it does say we are to worship Him in spirit & truth. Worship is perfomed with the face bowed to the ground in reverence.

Maybe, because of the language, it seems strange. But I hear some in this crowd that seems a little contrived. I mean no disrespect. I heard one "speak in tongues". The man at 2:20/6:12 says "Hallelujah" and I am familiar with that word. When one speaks in tongues, it is suppose to edify. Most people that I am acquainted with, who claim "speaking in tongues".. nobody even understands what they are saying. It is confusion, and GOD is not the author of confusion. Right? There was one group of Christians whom in history went so far as "convulsions". Some things are of God, and some things are of man.

A strange thing was happening & like then as now when someone says something strange the next question is "What are you on?", or "what have you been smoken?' etc. They were not "acting" drunk any more than Hannah was "acting" drunk when Eli accused her of drunkeness while she was praying. I don't understand why they're laughing. i've been filled with the Holy Spirit and spoken in tongues and at my church and anywhere I've been no one laughs like that. The Bible doesn't mention it either. Can anyone explain?

Sometimes, the Holy Spirit brings laughing (sometimes called the manifest joy of the Lord). It's one of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. People think this part of what Pentecost looked like in Acts 2, because the people of Judea thought the believers were drunk (filled with new wine).

Speaking in tongues is two-fold it is used to build up the individual spiritually "and" God also uses us to speak through us to that individual who's a unbeliever. Laughing and speaking uncontrollably is "False" because you can control the laugh. When I get into the presence of God I speak in tongues but I can control it, the same thing when i am laughing hard in the spirit. By looking at this I can tell whether that person has a demon who is manifesting and a tongue talking laughing believer.

Yeah, I'm not sure if this is "the spirit" or "a spirit." I believe that God is moving by His spirit all over the world. But there are demonic strongholds in every country and I'm not sure, from what I see here, that the yoke breaking power of the HOLY GHOST is in operation here. Speaking in tongues is not the only sign of the Holy Spirit being present. Healings, and removal of evil spirits are also often other signs. I have never spoken in tongues but the Lord allows me to heal others in Jesus name. Many have judged me because i don't speak in tongues, but the bible says the "some" will get that gift, which means not "all. People can't read. Trying to speak in tongues is not important, Doing other miracles is, as long as it's done in Jesus name.

wow! im so amazed with this people. they speak in tongues and filled with Holy Spirit. other people may say they are crazy because they dont understand and never experience the Holy Spirit. but i say this is the works of the Holy Spirit. i called it a joyful soul. for in that very time it is no longer the body praising God but it is soul and a lot of christians can testify that. this is why a lot of christians believe in God because God reveal His self by the Holy spirit. I don't think this is some moderate Christian. But please respect their feelings. God bless them. As far as I know, the people who are attracted by 'underground church' in China represents the most vulnerable society in rural area. They have limited social resources, poor income, and discriminated status in residence registration system- they are farmers which means they are prohibitted from social welfare. They only way they can avoid to face the reality is irrational church and religion.

The chinese shouldnt fear christians, just because true christians dont fear death makes governments a bit nervous. A chrstian is a pillar in the local communiy the are usualy patriotic they give charity to the pooor which acts as social security. Give what to ceasear what is ceasears and to God what is Gods, this is a major christian philosophy which in practise means be a good citezen pay ur taxes participate in ur comunity do ur millitary service but worship God and Christ.
