An organized squad does need a recon, but not for what he's doing. A good recon player plays objectively. That means spawn beacons and mav up, acting as a support character. Bottom line, if you want to win the game, thats how you play. Of course, people care more about high personal score to win/loss ratio

OMG terrible!!! Games are full of people doing this. The team is getting absolutely destroyed in this clip. Spotting and even killing someone from that distance does nothing to help the team. They cannot spawn on you way out there, they are down a man to cap flags, and ur equipment is useless. That dude you killed; yeah he's coming right back in 10 seconds anyway. Fun getting a long shot like that, but please people get one out of ur system and get back to playing the game like it was meant to.

Omg dont sit there 1000m away taking 10 hours to kill one guy while ur losing by 500 points. Move closer, cap a point, flank and snipe. You are totally useless getting one stupid kill from this far, and this does not help ur team. Add on the fact that the guy u killed will be returning to that same spot in seconds, really makes u useless here.

It's funny how people call snipers campers. I pretty much only snipe in rush and most of the time I'm top 3 on the board. I always get in spots where I can have a full view of the charge and protect it from attackers. And when I'm attacking I usually arm them with a silenced pistol and then cover them from afar. Plus I murder other snipers haha. Snipers are one of the most useful classes, in my opinion at least.

Nice! I didn't think the EMR had that much range. Longest shot I've done is about 1300m with the M98B. Couldn't see any flash off the guy's scope, only his tiny ant body off in the distance hiding next to a pillar.

^ Quite often I have come to believe this is the mindset of the player damning every sniper in BF3. A sniper, speaking of "anti-recon", aka you stay stationary and hidden while neutralizing enemy recon and spotting everything you can. Having 1 or 2 in your team is quite beneficial. Everybody who thinks otherwise is plain stupid.
