If memory serves me right, on Gordon Ramsay's show The F-Word, Gordon Ramsay does cooking battles with celebrities. And surprisingly, he lose most of them!
Maybe it's because a large number of American celebritiy chefs have little to no authenticity in their self-proclaimed style and rarely learn any advanced techniques beyond showing off. Flay and Ramsay especially.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Chef Ramsay surpassed Marco Pierre White years ago. Chef Ramsay could probably defeat most of the Iron Chefs but he'd have to train in that style of cooking for a small period of time to prepare.
and the weird idea of French cuisine Japanese (mostly Sakai san) chefs have from time to time(like the ratatouille which is not that close of a ratatouille or the commentator explaining that there are some dishes with lotus root in French cuisine albeit a few of them 'if memory serves me right')
Have a good time watching this one, I will certainly have
I think that Italian cooking is made absolutely perfect by its japanese inspired acceptance of raw fish and mixing of the piquant with seafood. Japanese cooking on the other hand can learn to use olive oil and balsamic vinegar. And add variety to its traditional meat sauces (something beyond Teriyaki(sp.). And the real use of Tomatoes and italian herbs of course.
So I think that japanese italian cooking can really be a success! Not at all random.
thx, this is indeed a very good show. Still as with the 'fight' with Passard I'm a bit worried, being French myself, with both the outrageaous accent the American version gives my fellow countrymen

Archo, I said it before and I'll say it again: U R A WORLD CLASS LEGEND!!!!! My best friend is an oyster farmer (who, ironically, doesn't like the little gonads) and are subsequently a regular part of my North West Tasmanian diet. This battle will help my repertoire.

Except Gordon Ramsay isn't even American. You're also an idiot.
TyphlosionExplosion 2 years ago 6
Ramsay is a hack celebrity chef who depends solely on flare while his kitchen staff does every bit of the actual work. Get used to it.
FrostbittenWolf 2 years ago
Do you even know what a head chef does? You clearly don't even know what you're talking about or anything in the culinary industry.

@isamu135 James Mays horrid fish pie comes to mind, and even it still beat Ramsay's!

He should go against Marco Pierre White so he can back up all of his shit talking. Probably would get embarrased by Marco or any Iron Chef.
