This is a bad ass car I have 1 and with the stock 28/76 gearing and the 8.4 v battery that comes with it will make 40 mph easy. Great video and I plan on putting on a few of my own soon

what thickness of aluminium did you use....i use a go pro, but cant use it out front without compressing the front suspension down, even with spacers

this not 60 mph it is only about 35 mph and nitro and petrol is much better than electric

@wilza52 : I truely hope you stay with nitro & petrol...less competition for us to deal with. If you knew the first think about physics, you'd know that when on the road, RC tires/tyres don't balloon until over 50 mph.

Traxxas Rustler VXL regularly goes 60mph factory stock without modifications, and over 70mph with $5 in gearing with this battery...8000mah 3s 11.1v.

You DO know that brushless/lipo is considered an un-fair advantage in nitro racing right?

@treridings electric cars have instant full torque , they are better and faster then nitro engines,the only thing that makes me keep the nitro rc is the sound of the motor, thing that electric will never have... love the video mate, nice electric rc... try put the cam on roof top and give us that prespective,, from portugal.. take care

@treridings yo depents what u get it stock with. If u get it brushless then yes is only 130$ for lipo 8000mh with charger but. if u upgrade to brushless its 160 ^.^ i fully upgraded mine got about 1400$ in it. and it Goes 113 mph (: try to rig 2 8000 mah's in that. you will be satisfied

Traxxas sells a battery expansion kit which raises the esc plate so you can fit the MaxAmps and TrueRC 8000mah 3s lipos...you can get about an hour on a charge...

...however try not to hit anyone...lol...its like a flying brick! haha!

Well when I filmed this I had a tooth missing in the top drive gear and a day before replacing it. This is a stock VXL with the gearing back to stock with just a 3s lipo...;)
