@bidaly2 Burrows to the left heading for the net. Plus as he stopped he sprayed snow on the goalie causing the goalie to be pushed slightly off balance by the snow molecules coming off Burrows skate in a distinctive kicking motion with the intent to cause goalie interference, haha.

In any case, it was a GREAT moment for Henrik Sedin! The Canucks skated so tentatively during the first two periods, I didn't expect so much effective effort in the third. Good cheering from the Canucks fans in LA too!

I just can't imagine how Simmonds would want to dive in that situation, he doesn't seem to be that type of player to embelish. Like I said OB is such a douche.. thank goodness he didn't cost the Nucks the game.

You could see that at the beginning of the play, Shane O'Brian stick hooked the legs of number 17 Wayne Simmonds. The Kings have a legitimate right to be angry with the non call. That was a clear hook, and should be called no matter the point in the game. They seemed to lost their focus for a few seconds afterwards and must have been incredoulous that it wasn't called.I'm a Canucks fan, but I know that they had a HUGE break on that play. If it was the other way around I would be angry.

@jpickles Finally we got a lucky break! The officiating was not good...AGAIN..its the big boys league and the refs make em play like little girls. Also, on like 2 penalties the Kings dove like theres no tomorrow..refs have GOT to recognize that

@jpickles it would have been a dive either way, this is probably why it wasn't called. you can clearly see the dive. the ref may have though about giving the call, but then he saw the dive portion and didn't raise his hand. doesn't want to give them two penalties. you see that all the time, instead of both calls made, no call is made.

@CaptTapSumBong It's called selling the penalty. Goalies do it to get goaltender interference. Players snap their heads back when they get high sticked even if they get nicked on the visor. Still, it doesn't negate the fact that Simmonds was tripped does it?
