That is the whole thing...She NEVER actually Looked at her husband. She never saw Suri. She was too engulfed in her own misery and depression to take notice. It was only polite custom. She took notice of Raj because he brought her out of her pain. That was the point to the part in the movie where Suri is telling Bobby that he needs to be Raj because Suri only reminds Tanni of her pain.

Well she never saw her husband before properly and never concentrate and than later when they danced together you can see she recognized now watch again and feel that bcz its really an awesome movie :-)

@dol345 In Taani's case it was possible to not recognize the own husband bcoz he was officially her husband, but in her eyes still somehow a stranger. She accepted the fact that she's married to him, but that doesn't make her be close enough to him to know that it's her boring and modest Suri who pulled off such a hyper macho flirt like Raj. That's the last thing she'd expect. But I do think they should've made her be more suspicious especially about his voice. It's still a beautiful movie :)

ghajini was the highest grosser just bcos it was so highly promoted.......but rnbdj despite being released with little promotion became srk's highest grosser......that shows the power of this man......wild and senseless promotions are meant for those films which are not up2 the mark content wise.

tzp, chak de was very less promoted still they managed to stay in our hearts.......unlike ghajini nd also oso(despite being a srk fan) whch were so desperately promoted. rnbdj was awesomeeeeeeeeee.
