Douche, Put your dad's guns away. Also, do you have an obsession with small bore rifles or something? I lol'd at the fact the 2nd "rifle" you showed was a 12 Gauge shotgun. You fail.
@2066241 it IS a 12 ga. We know the difference. if he posted this comment 6 month ago from 9/28/2011 and his mom made his death trubute 9 months ago how did he post. and i may be wrong but i dont think (i am not sexist/racist in any way) his mom would say something like that so......... is he dead or not???
your winchester model 12 is worth some money if it is in good condition and has matching serial numbers on the receiver and barrel (see above trigger) below 1,964,384. I'm guessing it was a grandfather's gun passed down. Keep it in a safe place and shoot something else. In 20 years, you'll be glad you did. yours is the field model, which isn't fancy, but still valuable
I am not calling you out on being an idiot or any thing...But ate you sure thats a 12 gauge? LOL the barrel looks more like a .410...But I dont know if they made the model 12 in anything other than 12 ga.
THE REASON WHY A ROUND IS LOADED ON THE RIGHT AND IS EJECTED ON THE LEFT IS BECAUSE A LEFT HANDED SHOOTER WANTED IT THAT WAY. THAT RIFLE IS FOR A RIGHT HANDED SHOOTER THAT SHOOT LEFT HANDED BECAUSE HE IS LEFT EYE DOMINET. HE WONT BREAK VISUAL WHILE RELOADED
i have a couple of .22 LRs.a semi auto ruger and a bolt action savage arms rifle.its the mark II but i hear that it jams i dont know if anyone here has one but i havent fired mine yet im just worried about the jamming.
@camarokillsstang3 the savage mark 2 doesnt jam, reason, its a bolt action rifle.its one of the finest bolt action 22s ive seen and shot.theyre great guns, are more reliable, easier to clean, and more accurate than any semi auto 22.the great thing about bolt action, lever a ction, and pump action rifles is theyre not ammo picky when it comes to feeding and firing.as far as accuruacy well that depends on ammo and your rifle models some mark 2 rifles have free floated bull barrels.hope this helps
Your Savage .22-250 weighs in at 15lbs? That is very heavy but Thats actually good for bench shooting a recoil control. How accurate is that .22-250? I was thinking about gettting one of those I really like th ballistics of that cartridge.
Hi Brian. I'm sorry & I apologize for bothering you so much with questions. But I notice you have a Ruger semi-auto in your collection. How do you like it? How is the accuracy? Cleaning - comments on that? Reason being is I just might end up purchasing a Ruger 10/22 semi-auto, 22LR. With 5 million out there since 1964 that says a lot. Also there are so many modification possibilities out in the market place. I was thinking about putting it in the Choate folding stock - ever hear of this? JAMES.
@buzzclark It's not a problem. I'm happy to answer your questions. The 10-22 in this video is a target model with a bull barell and weighs close to 10 pounds. It is VERY accurate, but unless you are going to be sitting at a bench with a gun rest and everything, I would suggest getting the carbine model. Cleaning it isn't too hard, but it's harder than a bolt action.
Yes, I know. Do you want me to be that specific? I'de say long gun, but I hate that word and it sounds so unofficial. There are only 2 anyways. Can you please stop being so judgmental.
I believe the left-side chamber cutout on the Savage is to make it easier to use the "load one shoot one" method like some target shooters use in the prone position. Its easier to toss in a round with your left hand and chamber it with the right. At least, that's my guess. Nice collection, BTW!
I have a Parker Hale 7mm in beautiful condition mauser action and its a warrior i use it to hunt down here in south florida in the swamps and its ideal because it so light like my rem. m700 .270 weighs alot more. well yeah nices guns m8 :)
No it's not. We specifically asked the dealer that and he said it's right handed. you can even tell by the engravings for the RIGHT thumb. Not to mention the bolt is on the right side and you reload with your dominate hand. Know what you say before you say it.
hello brian , hemant sharma here . its really good to see ur collection . actually i did not had a head phone , i cannot understand properly which all models r they . will do it tommorrow . indian ordinance factory use to make smle mk 3, 4 till 1980's . + _ 5 years . am raised up watching these gun and am madly in love with them . i find them bid dated but they do have a kind of nostalgia with them . do u have them with u ??america is good for someone who loves shooting . regards . tc .
If I'm not mistaken, for the Savage model 12, isn't the chamber on the left side of guns for left handed users? I'm not certain, but that's my assumption.
No. The way they make left handed bolt action rifles is putting both the bolt handle, and the chamber on the left side. On this rifle, only the botl handle is on the right side. The chamber is on the left.
im pretty sure that ruger makes there standard 10/22 out of wood and iron. there are "synthetic" ones out there though but its kind of a tough arguement to say that 10/22's are crap cause of its components. But i understand your decision plastic/synthetic is hard to get used to in terms of " is this gonna work?'' senarios
@AirRiflePaintball Nah I like the marlin 917v better. Its an hmr 17 bolt action. Its stronger more accurate and its only $270 with a scope,I paid $200 with scope and 2 mags
They make tactical and target rifles with thicker barrels because they assume you'll be shooting continuously for extended periods which causes the barrel to heat up and expand, this expansion can be detrimental to your accuracy... The thicker it is the more resistant it is to expansion and more accurate it will remain during heavy use.
The guns AND the ammo, yes. I usually get shooting out of my system with the .22s then train and stuff with the higher power rifles. I'm getting an ar-15 soon as well.
