This is a superb collection, been to the museum in Maryland, but the Mutter is the best! The fat wax ladies body was great except it was August when I was there and she smelled a little ripe! Had a steak and cheese sandwich right after I left the museum.

Yes it is. I used to go there a few times a year. Admission is less than $15 or so unless it has changed. It is definitely not a Ripley's type of place. It is a very serious medical museum maintained by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. There are racks of things people have swallowed, shelves full of human skulls, bullets embedded in bodies, the "Soap Lady" strange medical devices from the past and tons of other freaky things. You'll need a strong stomach if you go.

I was at Mutters Museum today, it kind of sucked actually. If you've seen one skull youve pretty much seen them all . The soap lady mummy was kinda cool though, I would like to have her hanging from a rope in my shower.

went there in march... pretty sick stuff..i felt like they disrespect the dead though.. i dunno i felt like some of the things there shouldn't have been there for people to see. but if you get a chance you should go.. good to learn anatomy and stuff like that...not for people with weak stomach (i spent half the trip throwing up in the bathroom)
