"Assemble the phone" - maybe next time think about camera angle... saying 'insert the sim/sd card as indicated' then just showing the back of your hand as you hide what you're doing is poor & of no use to anyone. COuld have spent more time showing more useful features. But demo overall is OK.

You own the device, Wind unlocks it, and you save money by not paying very high prices as you would on a contract

@MsPearfruit the downside is if u are not in ur wind home zone u will be charged for everything u do. that is the only drawback... they are new company so it takes time to expand the home zones... if it dont say home zone on ur device u will pay roaming fees. if its home zone and u have the 45 dollars plan it is godly. it cant be beat

My contract with Rogers end in January 2011, & after that, im definitely switching to Wind Mobile. But by any chance, in Toronto, Ontario, will Wind be getting any Blackberry Pearl Phones? Im not a huge fan of the curve or bold (Im only a teen still in high school), but the prices for the Pearl is much cheaper and reasonable. Hopefully they do expand on the variety of their phones by then, but i would definitely like to see the Blackberry Pearl with Wind.

@519MaTT94KrZ i find the track pad alot easier to use its like using a mouse on a labtop. i used to have the htc maple phone wind had before i got the bold. either phone is good. spec wise they are pretty much the same except for a few minor things and size wise the bold 9000 is slightly bigger

@RTechstudio their phones are locked for the first three months, apparently. After that you can call in and get an unlock code if you want to move to another network or sell your phone.

Christmas I got a Samsung Jet, and already regretting it, so gonna upgrade to this. Wish someone would show every feature on the phone, actually sending/typing a text and detail every app a bit better, instead of this flick in flick out kinda crap.

Is the trackpad easy to use though, looks a bit tricky.

I was unsure about using a trackpad that is so small as i couldnt see how it would work that well or be perticularly accurate but after experiencing it, i would never choose anything else. The sensitivity is customisable to suit your needs and it makes navigating your new toy very easy indeed.

my contract is about to expire with bell and im seriously considering signing with wind. my concern with this phone are:

1) text. how is it (does it lag?...qwerty keys too small so mishit keys a lot?) and how many inbox and outbox texts it can store?

2) the track pad thing? it replaces the roller ball but it looks kinda difficult to use. is it tedious to scroll through a big list of texts or contacts?

3) how is the browser? full html?

4) is its music player any good?

I just got the phone yesterday. It is an amazing piece of technology. 1) The texting is well laid out. Altough the qwerty keys seem small, you will get used to it and i have big fingers. 2)TRACKPAD is better then the trackball. It's not difficult to use unless you belong to war-amps. You can set vertical and horizontal sensitivity to your preference. 3) The browser is good but a bit less good then compared to somthing like the iphone. full html = yes. The music player is good/easy to use.

Probably not. Wind is not a GSM or CDMA network because their SIM card runs on the AWS system. Not many phones run on AWS/1700 network system, but few phones like the Google's Nexus One. So essentially you're forced to buy one of their phones.
