Her overall performance was really good.  She has good stage presence and seems really warm. I went to the show expecting to hate her and by the end of the show I wanted to give her a hug.

It can't be easy to have to endure so many people comparing her to Tarja and calling her a hack all the time.

If you have the opportunity to go see them live, you really should. They were great.

I don't have a speicific problem with Anette, I think she's a sweet girl & yeah, from what I've seen she has a great stage presence. I just don't like her voice. At all. & if I don't like it on their album, where all her mistakes are covered up, no chance I'd like her live. It's not because she has huge shoes to fill in, it's just that I don't like her voice & I wish she wouldn't be so ambitious in her live shows & try to do "voice tricks" that she clearly can't do...

Out of all the old songs they are performing now, Anette is especially bad in this one and in Wishmaster. Plus the songs are changed. They sound so different now.

I think they sound different now, not because they changed the style of the songs much, but because they stayed the same. Once Tarja took those songs & gave them an edge & a uniqueness. Anette doesn't have that edge because her voice is quite "sweet", & so NW should have made their music a bit rougher...

I don't know about Planet Hell & Bless the Child, but I think that if she could hardly tackle this song (Slaying the Dreamer), there's no way in hell her vocal range will be large enough to sing Kinslayer... It's quite a difficult song in that sense, & you need quite a vocal range.

If you don't like Nightwish with Anette, don't listen. I've seen a lot of video's with Anette on You Tube, and I must say she did a great job. Her performance is good her voice is good, some older songs makes she better

Actually, I don't think that "Tuomas is a God", but I do know that he composed almost all of their songs and he is a kind of a "leader" for Nightwish, so I think he is the one who makes major decisions in the group. And by the way... I don't like the last major decision he took, but I don't think I'm the one who has to call him to account...

You really should wait to see them live before you decide you don't like Anette. I really didn't like her until I saw them, and now I do. She's not Tarja, but if you think about it, if they chose someone with a voice that's similar to Tarja's, it would be even worse and people would compare the new singer unfavorably as well.

Go see them live. Anette is good and has a warmth about her that's really appealing.
