@bmgi102 Thanks for the comment. Actually in the early and mid 90's it was a common refrain. Granted, we deserved it. Americans were consistently absent from the finals at major championships. For a bit Kennedy would be the sole American, occasionally Croghan or Holman, maybe Davis would battle with the Africans. It's very different now. So, yes, people did say these things.
