iv had loads of ballet shoes, full sole and split sole coz iv been dancing for about 9/10 years (i started dancing when i was 3 and im 12 but im nearly 13) but the ballet shoes that i have now are black leather split sole with criss cross elastic theyr awesome :D
I have a question. I first tried shoes that were my street size since it said to by them that way. They were far too tight and didn't stretch enough. I tried buying the next shoe size up and now they feel snug, but there seems to be gaps along the edge of my foot. These go away when I pull the drawstring, but it bunches the leather a bit on the sides. Did I buy too big? Will I be okay dancing in these shoes?
@TheLittlebubble12345 thanks for replying. I've been dancing in them and they've been fine so far. I've had not trouble so I think it's alright. It's much better than having pinched toes at least.
@ilv2jkoff2thesegrls i have seen you commenting on so many dance videos. and most of them are creepy comments. do you watch them just to watch the girls?
@XDRemiXD I am pretty sure he is watching just for the girls. I have seen a whole lot worse comments than this one regarding dancers. Many guys have what they would call a ballerina fetish and get really turned on watching ballerinas. I had some videos uploaded of me and my ballet dance class but I deleted them. There were too many comments and private messages from guys about how turned on they got watching my videos and that they masturbated while they watched.
That's offensive. I feel ehow isn't very educated on ballet terms. She never even talked about canvas/leather.
While leather lasts longer canvas is better because in leather your feet stick to the floor an you can force your turn out. It is not good for your knees.
Ug I agree. I was wondering, does anyone know a good pointe shoe for a person with not the strongest feet and not the best arch. I Also have really long toes. Right Now I am I. Serene v ( bloch) any suggestions ????????
@jjdance4ever1 well, if your arch is not that strong, then I suggest you to try cappezio. they have softer shanks, and they will make your arches look better. i also have long toes, so you have to choose shoes with lesser width, perhaps B for bloch, XXX for grishko, depends on your bone structure. Cappezio contempora might works. good luck!

I would choose my words more carefully. Calling someone who has wider feet 'fat footed' can lead to body issues in even the thinnest of girls. Wide feet are usually caused by a bone structure cannot be altered by amounts of 'fat'. As a teacher, you should know that. You should also discuss the differences in fabrics and builds of ballet shoes as they serve different purposes.
@christinelandis You can tell she regretted it after she said it. I dont have fat feet but they are very wide and so i was like....that was nice hahaha
Thanks for your reply.. been so long I had to refresh myself on what message of mine confused you. Anyway you do not have to agreed with me, but you also do not have to be veryintelligent. All you really need to know is I'm correct and your not. The quicker you come to terms with this, the better. Ballet pumps (when worn in public are UGLY), heels are NOT. Why do you find that soooooooo hard to agree with?
"Your a man" with little or No standards..and clearly easily pleased. It is your problem if you think your woman should not make an effort for u with regards her presentation. All my male friends want their partners to make an effort and the non-English women involved enjoy doing so. I will not walk around wearing high heels as I'm a Man and not into cross dressing - I'll leave that for you. Any way Buddie I'm thrilled that Ballet pump wearing females turn you on. I await your reply in 2 mnths.
Full soled shoes helps younger dancers build strength. That is a good thing. Just because the "expert" thinks that they're a bad idea, they are really what young dancers need.
I never took dancing/ballet lessons but I love dancing and I would like to buy a pointe.. 1. Shall I buy it the same size of my shoes and can I seriously get hurt since I have no experience??????
well you should have been training for way longer then that! your ankles are not ready for that amount of stress and you could damage your feet for the rest of your life!!!
Ballet shoes (pumps) worn at a dance class is fine, However, already ugly English females have began wearing these 'dance tools' for going to work. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Females should not be walking around in anything that has not got a heel.."comfort" yada yada yada.. Heard it all before, and still NO EXCUSE
she has pretty feet

you can hurt your feet and ankles really badly if you go on pointe without experience.
BallerinaGirl1234 2 years ago 3
Yes of course you'll get hurt. You must have at least 3-4 years of dance experience before you can go en pointe.
PinkIce2335 2 years ago
