You may want to consider going to GoDaddy.com's Universal Terms of Service Agreement and do a search for the phrases, "sole and absolute discretion" and you will discover such unconscionable statements as;
"Go Daddy, in its sole and absolute discretion, may change or modify this Agreement, and any policies or agreements which are incorporated herein, at any time, and such changes or modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting to this Site"
I strongly suggest you READ & UNDERSTAND GoDaddy's agreements, contracts, policies, etc.
I recently had two websites hosted with GoDaddy.com, and SUDDENLY and WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE, when I attempted to access the accounts to make changes on the sites, a POP-UP notice appeared REQUIRING me to ACCEPT "their" changes, OR not have any further access to my two website hosting accounts. In my opinion, GoDaddy's plethora of "agreements" would be considered unconscionable and adhesive contracts.
This isn't some big conspiracy where CNet really just wants to sue you, or the gun store secretly wants you to kill people.
I think the biggest part of SOPA that you're not acknowledging is that it targets "sites primarily devoted to piracy". That's not YouTube. Being able to have a greater degree of control over intellectual property is something that is desperately needed for media companies to continue to be able to be incentivized to produce the content that everyone loves to consume.
