im sorry but that G35 did not spin at all of the go, that seems weird to me cuz iv owened a g35 for some time with many different set up from stock to bolt ons to rear mounted turbo to front mounted turbo back to full bolt ons with stand alone ecu, and no in my life have i ever lost to a maxima. could be many reasons why he lost but in a perfect race, it wouldnt to any year maxima unless modded at least more then intake and exhaust.

the other day i raced a 3.2 TL 3 times in my versa and he didnt pull on me lol. i think his transmission is fucked or something lol. i heard alot of noise though but no go. i think it was early shifting or slipping idk. bad for him good for me!

2005 3.5 altima has the 5spd tranny so dose the 05 maxima which also like the altima has tritonic :) i agree i didnt like the 4spd auto but i got mine rebuilt for highperformance

OmG yeah cuz you know so much. Its my boy's Evo X by the way. Not mine. But I've helped him build it from day 1. He's got the GSR not the MR. and we got it on 480hp to the wheels, running on E-85 gas. And Evo X's dont break down my friend. Only if you don't know how to drive stick.

driven them both, feel pretty much the same as far as acceleration , g35 sounds better, maxima on the other hand feels more luxurious and more spacious then the g35 even tho its an infiniti (2004's)

wow I raced a g35 coupe in my 04 and he killed me by like 4 cars but he had a 6spd and I have a SL trim with the 4spd auto.

They did make 4spd auto maxima. if u got the SL u got a 4spd which is slower than the 5spd auto maximas obviously.. same with the altimas in 05 they became a 5 spd auto instead of 4 spd auot. 0-60 for the auto went from the low 7 sec range to low 6 second range with the change

the 05 altima did not became 5spd instead of 4psd auto, it was just an option i still have a 05 4psd auto.

all altimas that were v-6 came with the 5 spd auto transmission. 4cyl altimas were stil 4spd auto. I have 1... cvt altima is wayy better than the 4spd auto altimas. 0-60 in the 7 second range instead of 8 second range and i think now they trap around 87-90 in the 1/4 mile instead of 84 mph on 4 cyl models around 90 being the hybrid 4cyl model

yes thats correct 7.2 to be exact but lol my 2003 3.5 auto after 60 i leave the 2.5 cvts in the dust but they are quick for a 4cylinder

Wat year max was that? Had to be an 02-03 cause those are the only ones that can even come close to beating a g35 coupe stock for stock and the only thing I heard on the max was an Intake maybe.

No there was no intake at all. the g35 has a sexier sound to it then the maxima. but all around the g35 is a a disappointment because its a coupe, therefore its lighter and has an advantage but it still looses to an 2001 maxima. and the 2007 maxima destroys em!! the g37 on the other hand is pretty fast.

The G35 also comes in sedan form. The sedan is around 50 lbs lighter than the coupe and has a better drag coefficient.

the g35 coupe is heavier than the g35 sedan. the g35 sedan has an aluminum frame the coupe has a steel.its heavier .

actually my friend the maxima weighs less then the g35 look it up on google type in "04 maxima curb weight" it comes out to be 3400 then type in "g35 curb weight" and it comes in at around 3500 why? what im thinking is that since it is a coupe the doors are longer and then ontop of that you can site 5 people so it has the back space and it has bigger rims all that stuff adds up i really dun kno y its hevier i got an 04 maxi and its fast as shyt

i know it's a good battle of nissan vs. infiniti, but the G35 and the Maxima are running on the same 3.5 engine. they're both gonna be tied up.

I think that these g35's loose some power through the driveshaft and differential, where as the maxima half shafts are hooked up directly to the trans, they are both fast cars and i would take any one any day.

G35s are fast dont get me wrong but its also luxury. even though nissan makes infiniti hp and torque are used differently in every car. maxima is really just starting to bring their speed back. some people look and the hp and compare and assume that just because another car has more hp that it will beat the opponent and thats not necessarily true. nissan produces the best engines. look it up.
