hey man, how did you succes with flyback? I have very high output at my flyback transformer driven by 4 x 2n3055 driver circuit. i have made huge tank capacitors and 60 cm long 50 mm diameter and top troid aluminium. I did anything necesary but my tesla coil does not working :( Could u give me some trick?
@living4game hi what kind of oscillator circuit are you using for your flyback, 555 of
just 2n3055 in bipolar config, i suggest you use 555 until you get a working model then you can variate. its very simple if you have any questions i can explane evey part and how it works pretty quickly but you have to be able to learn at 90 and do some homework. good luck also is your flyback ac or dc, because you can still get an output but wont be smooth, very loud and screechy
@digitalgod2 Hi, I was using 2n3055 circuit with 4 parellel. But now I do with mazillis flyback driver. arcs are smaller than transistor driver at 12V, 2A. But, very thick and hot arc beam. now tesla coil kind of working but i dont see any flying arcs on top of coil. it is only lighting neon lamp witout wire. But I did not think it is working 100%.
Hey dude, looking good. What is the choke for? You dont need a choke for this, really. With a multiplier, you definitely do. Also, you need a ton more inductance than those chokes, and it needs to be an iron core.
Also, you do not need any more space in between the primary and secondary, you need to change the coupling. This will hopefully make it all stop, it should. Just raise or lower the secondary in relation to the primary. Try it! It should help.
bravo
