i guess that s about SC serie's bad luck , it never had brilliant players that have given enough time to get better. Imo it one the best battle games , also dead or alive series. What makes these two games is both games move and look unflawed while being competitive. Tekken series has alot of glitches and contradictions which have not been solved for years.... ex:" glitchy and skipped" reversal animations , uninterrupted juggles.

It's too bad that Taki has a huge disadvatage with long-range, well, because she isn't a long-range character. Simply. I mean how many long range attacks does she have anyways? none? On the other hand, Taki is a beast up-close, but yet I don't see why the Taki player didn't use the close-range as much to its advantage. Oh well. I can't say that I could have done any better either. It's been a long time since I've played SC2.

Taki does have a disadvantage, but the player controlling her could have done better. I've seen AMAZING Ivy players and I've won at least 1 match with them. Jump, wind roll and grab more often. =)

Now having 3 stances, after a following move you can switch stances without the opponent realizing this, the fallback is finger gymnastics and memorization of which move can allow Ivy to switch stance with manual input. But thats why i love her, the hardship pays off in the end Lol. It goes to show IVY really is what she is, a tough nut suffering and players will have to suffer a long way with her before her true potential will being to show.

Well, once you adjust the controls you can take the finger gymnastics problem out of the picture. The main problem is knowing the sheer volume of attacks she is capable of, knowing which ones you are and aren't capable of doing from your present stance, and adjusting your strategy accordingly. In the end she is the most diverse and flexible character in the game, but boy, do you have to work for it.

One thing I hated about this game is with Taki, Namco could never seem to leave her alone. Her move set was always changing. I get used to her move set in SC2, they move it around in SC3, and again in SC4, and in SC4's case some of her movs have diferent properties, or a lack theirof.

Definitely need to get more aquainted with Taki. Obviously haven't played SCII much, otherwise PO would have been a priority. It may not be as great as SCII due to no PO>EXC cancel, but it is still a huge part of her mix up.
