@fordummies Goog vid...I just have to ask...why is it that so many vids on hanging a flat screen TV on a wall dont show the wires coming out from the TV?
QUESTION: i see a lot of people have their TV mounted to the wall and for some reason there isn't any wires coming out (to connect to DVD/Blueray player and such). How come?
The TV nows days it's not really flat and look horible on a wall! waiting for real Flat TV and where i will able to plug my wire on a box hide under my couch!
@spectreduloft most of the LCD tv's sold now are only about 1-2 inches thick and the wires can be put into walls. are you waiting for epaper tv screens?
im mounting a tv in my kitchen soon but it will be a concrete wall that ill be mounting the tv onto, how do i achieve the `wireless` look with the tv if the wall is concrete? what can i do to hide the wires? any help/advice appreciated, cheers!
I'm mounting my 46" sharp, its only about 50 lbs, and in my condo I have metal studs. I plan on using 4 toggler hollow anchors ( rated 238 lbs each) which i plan on having them anchored on the metal studs, and also adding 4 toggler hollow anchors rated 159 lbs. It seems like i'm trying to hang a cow, but i want to make sure my tv does not fall. I know wood studs are better but with all these anchors would it be safe for my 46"....please respond !!!
Instead of a stud finder I used a light cloth and a hammer. I tapped the walls and heard for the change in sound and feel. An electric buzzer is good too. The tone of the vibration will change.
Have you tried plain old spit??

You GOT to try the Magic Stud Finder products, if you want to hang anything on walls ,thats the tool you need.

They didn't mention the part where you gotta buy a new one every year because they keep breaking down.

Where do the wires go? Do they just hang along the wall?
far14heen 2 years ago
you could run them inside the wall but letting them hang there is just easier
