I once had a guy comment on a vid and tell me to take some lessons. First off, he'd never had any either, I'm sure. If he did it was a DVD tutorial, which are all on youtube anyway. Second, why the hell did he have to say something like that since...well, up until recently, the instrument was largely unknown to anyone outside the celtic circles. Now it's popular, sure, but geez...ego issues.

yeah I was just bored and thought if I did it it may be ok, maybe I should have practiced it at least once before just jumping into it though..lol

Dude, I never practice...might be why my vids suck, but I just wing it every time. Rehearsing on the bodhran is practically useless anyway, especially if you want to impress people. I think improv is a huge skill and necessary or the intrument is just another stupid piece of wood. You hit the feeling right on too
