I assume you mean the JD 640 loaders. They've been good. The quick attach can be a bit of a POS sometimes, but on the whole they are great. Very strong.
how many feet is that haybine and how fast can you go with it? we are running a ts115a on a 11 foot discbine we can go in 10 or 11th gear so about 6.2 - 6.5 mph
Mowers in England are alot faster than that!

9ft, the fastest I've ever on with it is 7mph, but on average 3-4 is normal

I can't believe how small that cutter is. It would never keep up in a big operation. But like you said for its time it was a big chopper.

It is a JD 5440. For its day it was a pretty big chopper. Quite small by todays sp standards.
