  • Why did I get an ad for a Nickalodian show before a Bad Religion song?

  • lyrics never got so true

  • @39user274502 Now hold on buddy. I know you posted this comment a year ago and everything, but listen to bands like Descendents, and Screeching Weasel, they have a lot of pop punk in them, however, they are fuckin good bands. Pop punk isn't a bad genre, it's MAINSTREAM pop punk that is bad. NoFX even has some stuff that sounds pop punk, with songs like the longest line. Basically all I'm saying is don't hate on all pop punk, it can be good!

  • @Metaldudehere pop punks ball-bag ( < my opinion ). pop and punk shouldn't even be in the same sentence together. I don't even listen to bad religion that often. as far as im concerned punks not about the style its about the point (kinda what bad religion and NOFX don't have), like the Rippers or the Agrestix. (im just saying and im not trying to argue).

  • \m/

  • special love for these guys, first concert I ever went to over twenty years ago. Wow.

  • awesome. This song sounds like descendents- Doug rides a skateboard

  • They reused the music to this song in Delirium of Disorder, same riffs and drum fills, only difference is the middle

  • @RideTheSky1986 not really, i don't understand why people keep saying that. don't get me wrong its similar, and bad religion is notorious for recycling song structures, but its really only like the first two chords.

  • tzj

  • FUCKING HELL YEAHHEEHEHEAAAAAA... THIS IS THE REAL SHITTTTT MAAAN

  • This song kicks ass. So does the Sublime cover.

  • One of a handful of albums that you can play the whole album and not skip any song, and when it's over, hit play again!

  • @39user274502 green day's older music isn't pop punk :P

  • I wonder how how the world would be if steve jobs was a punk in his youth

  • @TheVaughnsta hippy/punk same thing, he built his business like a punk would.

  • @punkrocker555142 how can you say a fucking stinky hippie is the same as a punk?

  • @havoc699slappy open your eyes man same ideals different generation now.

  • @havoc699slappy If you would've paid attention in American History, you'd see that they are pretty much the exact same group, respective to the times.

  • @havoc699slappy Hippies and Punks both: Had counter-cultural views, created there own music scene/movement, were political, had there own weird trends, philosophically smart and both sadly were capitalized on and turned into meaningless trends.

  • @39user274502 Well which band is more successful? Green Day.

  • its just like every other punk rock band from the 80's...ITS THE SHIT! and IT FUCKING RULES! and the best thing about AMERICAN HARDCORE is that the hipsters cant rap their heads around it no matter how hard they try.

  • this brings me back when i was skate boarding everyday and pissed off at everything!! i love punk

  • PUNKS NOT DEHT

  • @iMythiiic

    But your grammar is

  • @GottDiggah lol shut the fuck up nerd

  • Glory Daze brings me here!!!

  • .50 to 1.30 is a goddamn goosebumpin jam----rock that shit!

  • I'm still confused how people compare the two, they're two different songs. This is rock, sublimes was ska, and they're both fucking awesome. So don't fucking insult either.

  • @CanadaonFire Actually, this one is hardcore punk

  • @33Sexybeast actually, hardcore punk is some kind of rock

  • @kretteux Yes.

But to call something simply "rock" would mean they were the version of the 50's-60's (otherwise known as Rock n Roll). This is Punk, and Hardcore Punk at that. Much different from, say, Chuck Berry.

  • @33Sexybeast rock just a generic terms and this could be punk, punk rock, hardcore punk, skatecore punk or wat ever...

any can just say rock, you making things so complicate, why do you bring chuck berry in it seriously go blow some dick mister sexy beast

  • @kretteux I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was arguing with an illiterate retard.

Please, learn more, and learn how to correctly punctuate sentences. And then argue without insulting someone.

  • @33Sexybeast Il y a visiblement des tas de chose que tu ne réalise pas.

  • @kretteux If I translated correctly, you said "There are obviously piles of things you do not understand." If I was wrong please correct me. If not, of course there are. Same goes for you. And him. Musically, though, I'm pretty sound in what I know.

  • @33Sexybeast yeah i bet "google trad" was a nice tool for that. Anyway you just sound liike a random teenage making meaningless debat over the internet .sorry but that's it, not even puting term like "Musically" cuz it's out of subject.

  • @kretteux Using my age in a debate. Age =/= Intelligence. And I'm very sure there's no such thing as "Google Trad". I think you mean Google Translate? If so, yes, it is a very good tool for languages you aren't familiar with, but it has it's flaws. Of course, if you aren't going to bring up an argument, I see no point in talking to you further.

  • @33Sexybeast you'll get it when you get older, and there's no "débat"

  • most rocking song i've ever heard

  • sublime <3

  • @Punxerklc Correction: Bad Religion

  • @wharfRat720 yes i know it's bad religion's song, but sublime has a cover and i love sublime so...

  • sublimes version was good but this version is fucking great

  • No dislikes? :-O how could this be?

  • Perfection!!!!!!

  • Aw cmon cocksalad13, what's a thrash pit without a little fuckin' HATE??!! fuck you man here's beer in your fuckin' eye! yeah...good times. oh, and sublime can suck my fuckin' DICK LOLZ

  • Alte BR Songs sind immer noch die Besten.

  • the sublime version and this version are good... sublime took it more to the ska-punk and bad religion made it hardcore punk. since the sublime song is not an exact copy I believe they are basicley on the same level...

  • How can I put this on repeat?

  • Comment removed

  • my favorite bad religion song

  • Lyrics:

Early Man walked away as modern man took control

Their minds weren't all the same, to conquer was his goal...

so he big his great empire and slaughtered his own kind

then he died a confused man, killed himself with his own mind.

    GO!

We're going to die from our own arrogance.

  • early man walked away...as modern man took control

their minds were all the same...to conquer was their goal!!!

  • early man walked away...as modern man took control

  • THAW! :)

  • @ShianneSyanide yeah! Punk is my drug and Skate my passion

  • M0:00RE

  • Punk was born to die. and it did. BUt the genre kicks ass and what people dont seem to understand as all genres (Rock n Roll, RnB...) Many sub genres come off of that. which is very relevant today.

  • Greg wrote this song in study hall when he was 15 years old. How many 15 year olds do you know that could write what would become one of the biggest punk anthems and stay that way 31 years later?

  • @davenow and now he's also a college professor and author. how many lead singers can say that? lol badass.

  • @davenow and who knew sublime would do a cover

  • @davenow Most punk anthems were written by fifteen-year-olds, weren't they? xD

  • @davenow well my brother has been writing stuff like this since he was 10 and i've been writing stuff like this since i was like 12. but i'm a radiated living abortion and my brother would've died if he'd been in my moms belly for a few more seconds so we're not naturally like that... and we're related to tesla. but thats still very impressive

  • @GoingSomewher

    You sound mad.

    Are you Schizophrenic? Just wondering.

For someone who claims to be a super genius Id expect better grammar and punctuation. However for someone who introduces himself as a "radiated living abortion" Id expect half as much as half of what you deserve. I'm still disappointed xD

  • @traebarlow Well first i don't really care about my grammar and also schizophrenia does run in my family but mainly on the tweaker side of it and no i'm not mad it's just the fact that there is no emotion behind any of that unless i cuss a lot so it appears that way

  • @davenow That's right I agree!!!

  • @39user274502 Oh, God, here we go...

Green Day isn't pop-punk. They're alt-power-pop, at their hardest melodic hardcore (like the Offspring or Bad Religion). Though I can't say they're punk, I will NOT say that they are fake or over-produced. They have punk songs and a few of their albums are fantastic, up to par with anything on Epitaph or Dischord in the late 80s.

  • @MiloRamone1 bullshit. There one of the farthest away from melodic hardcore i've ever heard. Everything about there sounds is 100% pop punk. Get over it

  • @noideac Never listened to "St. Jimmy," "Platypus (I Hate You," or "Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?" obviously.

  • @MiloRamone1 >He names post-Dookie tracks

    You're doing it wrong.

  • @SjSharks182 "Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?"= pre-Dookie

"Platypus" is fucking awesome, in any case.

"St. Jimmy" is bad-ass on a subjective level so I'll let you slide on that one.

  • Seriously why cant people just enjoy good music period thee end....

  • the sublime version is awesome, but this is the fucking CLASSIC.

  • why so much hate? no one gives a shit about ur opinion on the versions. so shut the fuck up and enjoy the music

  • Still one of the classics...amazing.

  • WICKED!

  • Honestly, what's the fucking point of going to a video to tell the people there they like the other version better, instead of just going to that other version and saying it there? That's gotta be the stupidest thing.

  • I honestly think sublime's version of this song is really almost an example of the right way to cover a song, respect the original version but make it your own way.

  • I like them both

  • DO CARALHO!!!!!!!

  • THIS SONG APPEARS IN TONY HAWK RIGHT????

  • @GamerLedgtiz666 in a game of Tony hawk or something with sk8?..,i LOVE BAD RELIGION FUCK YEAH!!!!!!........,ANARCHO PUNK RULEZ

  • I LOVE SATAN.

    I HATE CHRIST.

    I HATE JEHOVAH.

    I HATE CHURCHES PREACHING HATE.

  • @MsNomiss You missed a lot of religions dude...

I HATE PEOPLE WHO HAS NO RESPECT FOR ANYTHING

  • anyone checked out the biohazard-version of this song yet? not bad, though you maybe can imagine that no singer can reach up to greg.

  • awesome lyrics o.o

  • my balls itch pitty

  • @michaelrenshaw

But isn't walmart both a government AND a religion ;D

  • @michaelrenshaw ahahaha

  • This song really holds up well. Well enough that it's stuck in my head and I frankly don't give a damn.

  • @affirmedatheist ur a dumb ass, bad religion is punk true punnk !!!

  • @CLOCbkilla Never said it wasn't. Just saying the song really holds up very well over the years, and I dont mind this one being stuck in my head.

  • what happend to peace and love people ? chill the fuck out

  • @CHALCOHOLIC fuck your soul, you fuckin fruitcake piece of shit. this song is awesome. love sublime but can't beat this.

  • good song, but i like Biohazard version ;)

  • PUNK IS

    PUNK IS...

    WHO GIVES A SHIT

    LETS ROCK!

    (punks not dead btw)

    BTW; THUMBS ME UP BABY

  • @magicalwrath

    CRASS - Punk is dead.

    Listen to it.

  • @mrremuff how dare you. punk's not dead, it's just underground and smaller

  • @magicalwrath

Listen to the song instead of trying to get into a useless arguement you ignorant fucking dipshit.

    Americans...

  • @mrremuff yo chill your tits you. the only one who i being ignorant is you, trying to shove what YOU think down my throat, first of all, we all have our own differences, so you are the one trying to start a useless argument. American? that's just stereotypical of you, I'm half American, and not all "Americans" act the same, so again chill your tits, too long didn't read; you're the ignorant sciolist here

  • @magicalwrath

    That's another point of view.

I'm sorry, was in a bad mood.

but.. "Chill your tits"..? Youd like that, now wouldnt you`?

  • @mrremuff Yeah bro it's okay, and I'm a girl, that was just an expression.

  • awesome song

  • blah blah blah. if you like sublime's version better, why waste your time trying to talk about it here. go listen to their version. duh.

  • Bad religion FTW...

  • look fuckers. sublime did a good version.. but they wouldnt have if bad religion hadnt written the fucking song. how retarded can you be?

  • Depends what you mean by "well". He is indeed alive, but the last few albums gargle huevos.

  • i <3 youtube flame wars.

    makes me lol so hard

  • Comment removed

  • You should die for that statement.

  • ok i dont mean that LOL sublime kicks ass , and so does BR

  • sublime is good you fool hahaha but bad religion is way better

  • bad religion bullies shame on you

  • How can you compare those bands? you can't say if there better of worse, you only can say there different.

  • everyone has room to talk...youtube supremacist. :P. The sublime version is good, but not as good as this. classic album. I just found the original 7" (repressed) and I think this one got repressed too. Brings back so many memories.

  • and you have the nerve to say the sublime version is better on a fucking bad religion video.

get outta here, you dont belong

  • @NewDarkAges13 musically it is better. i love bad religion but comparing any guitar player they've ever had to bradley would throw you into the same intelligence category as a woodpecker on an aluminum telephone pole

  • @rmarino4471 disagree. simple as that.

  • @NewDarkAges13 well you're an idiot then. brian baker is their lead player and he's admitted to only ever learning one scale. they play power chords. greg is the best guitarist in bad religion and it's because of his influence with folk music.

  • @rmarino4471 I never said anything against an influence. I just disagreed with the version. simple.

I'm the idiot because I prefer this? Then you're calling a lot of fans that.

  • @NewDarkAges13 I'm talking about talent as a guitar player, not as a band, lyrical content or who wrote songs. reading comprehension ftw.

  • @rmarino4471 No I did understand. simply disagreed. Sorry if that hurts you buddy

  • @NewDarkAges13 sublime is better cum dumpster fuck face

  • @flamingbagofcatpoo dude shut up

  • @flamingbagofcatpoo Better than Bad Religion in general?

    That's just sad. Poor you...

  • @NewDarkAges13

    yay for censorship

  • @NewDarkAges13 i disagree with him, but fuck you for telling him he doesn't belong. Graff and the gang didn't belong either. I don't belong. Chances are, you don't either. Let's all be punks and fight them, not each other.

  • @NewDarkAges13 get outta here, you dont belong

.... isnt the reason for punk rock to destroy this setiment?

  • @NewDarkAges13 maybe not better, but they did do a good job.

  • @NewDarkAges13 equal in my opinion huge fan of both bands and i think sublime did a DAMN good job

  • @NewDarkAges13 and thats the kind of attitude both bands tried to dispose of and discourage...wtf is YOUR problem? small dick?

  • @RTTCDeadEye Nah man. That comment was a year ago. I honestly don't care anymore about what's better. I forgot about this until you've commented back. Eh.

  • you have no room to talk.

    shut your mouth

  • to "robwyattfan"-- you're a twit... "philosophically superior?" ahahaha

  • yeah

  • damn.... the first song......... that started it all....

with the history it will create

  • sublime sucks ass you retards......how out of touch can you really be?

  • Comment removed

  • I don't like the sublime version of this song, but I have to beg to differ, Sublime Kicks ass.

  • well...their bassist has fucking talent, have to be stupid to argue that. where do you get "suck" from? how do they suck in your opinion? ( I assume you play music too if you're gonna criticize like that)

  • sublime kick ass

  • i heard this on thps3 ps2

  • man, 1:20 to 1:50 is the best 30 seconds in punk's history

  • Memories!!!

Used to play in a band - sometimes we played this song...

  • original song is from bad religion? or sublime? biohazard i know fucking version...but this?

  • yes it was theirs first.

    bad religion that is.

  • for all the people getting into a huf about which versions better, sublime is a much different band from bad religion.

its like comparing apples and oranges. its the same song, but you cant really judge which is better because they are so different.

both bands are awsome, i like both versions of this song hell of a lot, but you just cant compare.

  • I think the act of creation is inherently better. After all, without this version, there could be no Sublime version and thus, it is philosophically superior.

  • This was my favourite song when I was 14....

  • i forgootte to say we are only gonna die is the first song from bad religion i have heard i must sing iever its in my head early man walked away as modern man took control their minds werent all the same to conquer was his goal so he built his great empire and slaughtered his own kind then he died a confused man killed himself with own ............. gonnna die from our arrogance gonna die...........

  • this is my favourite song of bad religion

we are only gonna die from our arrogance !!!!!!!!!

best punk ever and how could helll be any worse is the very very best album of them ever

  • i like sublimes version,

    but nothing beats the original.

  • There is also Biohazard cover.

  • "how could hell be any worse?" is the best album ever!

  • sublimes ok but no one beats bad religion

  • Half of sublimes songs wouldnt even exist if it wasn't for bands like Bad Religion and the Descendants, so shut the fuck up.

  • I actually agree.

  • That is pretty good!

  • personally this album was the only thing i liked from bad religion. everything else just seemed to sound very terrible. its just my opinion so don't bother replying about how great they are. being that this IS youtube and people like to argue just to argue.
