  • mesmerizing.

  • Simon Gallup must be one of the best base players in modern music history. His feeling for melodies, rhythm and effects is fucking amazing!

  • Breathtaking.

  • The mother fucking Cure rock!

  • One of my favorite Cure songs ever... so sad and desperate filled with angst and rage...

  • bob and the boys are back in the daily playlist. i can assume i know what that means....le sigh

  • After 28 years it still makes me shiver.

  • Robert Smith could have won the Nobel Prize for literature had he not become a singer/song writer. The man is a philosopher in his own right. I put him up with Camus and Sartre. There is alot more to this music than black hair and make-up. It's not about "goth", this album "Pornography" explores what it means to exist.

  • @pancakesmasher102 He captures much more than immediate feeling. He captures time and age for sure.

  • @pancakesmasher102

And Simon could/should win it for the noise he makes with those 4 strings. Never mind the actual tune/melody, just listen to the sound!

  • @pancakesmasher102

so true. The lyrics of this one and the hole fucking Pornography album are pure poetry. What a gifted men and what a classic record. Timeless beautiful, art at its highest form.

  • Ha "The Cure",akkor ez a szám nekem az első !!!!!!!

  • i love cure!

  • i think so...very poetry

  • I love it !

  • This reminds of friends who just disappears.

  • very poetry

  • Definitely part of the best side of The Cure, the kind of song that creates an extraordinary emotion now and for ever, Timeless.

  • i listen to the cure to get into a good mood at school,i always have a song stuf in my head

  • im 17

    my ritual is

    waking up

hearing echo's of pornography throughout the room,

    makin some food, drinkin' tea

goin to school in the right mood

  • @simionTheOne i think i got a new ritual.

  • probably my best cure song ever !

  • timeless melody...

  • I think it's one of the best songs ever!

  • God I love this song, I think it's one of The Cure's best.

  • This song ages with us, as does the entire album. It seems more relevant to me now than it did in the 80's. It takes me to an emotional place that has only increased in its importance over the years.

  • I keep watching this Dvd all the time! We are so luck to have an artist like Robert Smith, my exotic caterpillar! For ages The Cure has accompanied me through my disasters, failures and comforting me with their lyrics!

  • Cudowny kawałek

  • robert should play with his jazzmaster alot more, that guitar made the sound of the dark trilogy, the true face of the cure

  • am agree.

  • @ltmittens

no, robert smith without a hollow body guitar? this is spiceless.

i prefer his mosrite performances. pure energy.

  • @ltmittens

Actually it was the Fender Bass VI that was the sound of the "dark trilogy."

  • @kensteee

I've heard somewhere that all the studio recordings are done with an old Gibson Chet Atkins guitar. However, I think that the Jazzmaster was his only or at least main guitar during the Pornography-era. The Bass VI isn't (to my knowledge) heard on this album, but can indeed be heard on about every song on Disintegration.

  • @AlmigthyIsDead Robert didn't use Gibsons perhaps until 87, but Porl did (the 335 is seen in 84 concerts). The VI was used in Faith, not sure in Pornography but probably not. I remember when asked about the Fender preference he said that he didn't like Gibsons because of their shape. Go figure, as now he seems to have abandoned the Fenders for good which made the new Cure sound quite strange, it's noticeable when he plays the old songs with the Fenders. The Schecters are pure crap.

  • Best song ever from the Cure; this is a marvellous piece of art in matter of of design these tunes in such an emotional sphere. It's like walking in a forest of ages and moods

  • well said mate!

  • Thanks for your appreciation

  • u're nothin' i don't need u anymore!! great song!!!

  • ♥

  • @biopenelle: Phaser

  • flanger

  • @bionepelle Someone's already said that they think it's a phaser, but I think it's actually a flanger and a little bit of distortion.

  • that video of this song with the two royal ballet dancers is timeless.

  • I don't need you anymore, you're nothing

  • Неземная песня..

  • I'm listening to this song over and over again! Love the darkness it's like a drug, Cure you're great

  • The apocalipsis of gospel

  • Pornography is so dark and amazing.

  • Simon is the best bass players on earth.

  • I love songs that are profoundly dark, because it really shows what the soul is all about. It is easy to be in the dark, but not dark in art............I love cure

  • you make dark art sound beautiful. I agree. It's also very contagious. I was a big fan of pornography when I was 15, but I still think disentragration is probably the best cure song ever.

  • This song is pure art.

Once you get used to the weird drums and bass you are owned.

  • 25 ans après cette chanson a gardé sa puissance.

  • Is it always Iike this?

    grazie Robert.

  • I love Cure sooo much =)

  • the very definition of art.

    timeless.

  • I first heard this song in '87...I was 18, having a tough time adjusting to being an adult, turned out I was clinical (expensive mental facilities are wonderful.) I've been well for years, but when I hear this song, I wax nostalgic of those days, as insane as they were. I've never used an illegal drug, but the feeling I get when I hear this song, as it pulses through my psychie, makes me wonder if it is the same feeling an addict gets when they first relapse.

  • One of the best The Cure songs ever...!

  • i was there too... a dream night

  • I envy you

When they next come to England IM THERE
