@stuizke 2 very different machines... one is monophony, the other is polyphonic... imo you should be aiming to get both, as they both do something different, and they both sound very different.

How is the user interface of the prophet desktop? I got the tetra, but i dont like the handling, also the software editor is too flimsey.

very sweet sound man! i buy myself a tetra in a few days. 4-voices but it has the sub osc's the prophet unfortunatly misses. anyway: i think you cant do anything wrong with one of these. such a sweeet sound - this is analog - this is warmth - nothing that can be beaten by anthing!

the advantage of the potentiometer edition is that the encoders are fixed. On the prev versions (after awhile) when you turn the dial the values would become jumpy. It was so annoying. Theres a fix or you can buy the PE version...

i really like my Prophet '08 too. I have the keyboard version with lighted wheels. Constantly amazed at the sound capability. Every time I sit down to jam on it new sounds and ideas constantly arise. I'm sure you know the feeling ":)

Hi Thanks for the vid..I think it would be even more nice to film the PROF8Rack closer inspite of being far away in the background..

and seeing making a sound from scratch.. will be more demonstrating te capabiliities of a machine..and how much fun it can be to twist the knobs..it is also (in my opnion..so please do not see this to negatove..(:>> les static to vieuw this kinf of video's..)
