  • Her make-up and hair style are quite modern, dont seem to be from the 60s

  • I've got to agree with the Glad that Ronnie is very special in all ways.

  • Pretty good quality upload (clarity), but your version sounds a little "tinny". Just not quite full or rich. Thank you for the upload though. It's a great song and it's still better than most of the other uploads of this song I've found before.

  • a beautiful native godess

  • I heard that the Beatles (John Lennon) Norwegian Wood is about Ronnie...

  • @stingray1964 I never heard that. I was told it is about a prostitute.

  • @Appleholic1 Actually that sounds cooler...but yeah that was what I had heard. I guess her and John had a fling around that time.

  • Ronnie Benett....

  • What I will never understand is why this beautiful smoking hot girl that every guy loved and fantasized about married such a dork.

  • @Appleholic1 My Grand Mom told me Love is Blind

  • 2 peoples baby's just... didnt want to be their baby!

  • Waiting for someone to be my baby, you know who you are.

  • C-L-A-S-S-Y

  • damn she's pretty

  • This is what "music" is all about.

  • How good was this song, # 1 for the year 1963, tied with Hes so fine.

  • Shheeessshhh I wish women could be that lovin!

  • Be my baby has to be one of the best songs ever recorded! When I first heard this song I thought the girls were white. And do you know what? It does'nt matter at all. When I saw and heard them I was in LOVE!! I still am. I was 5 when this song came out. The test of time, I still love it!!!

  • @locomania1812 Mother was African American & Cherokee Indian, and her father was White Irish... Who cares what color she is. She is Ronnie Spector!

  • @sixtiesforever1966 I DON'T care what color they are! And I said so, if only you had read the whole post!!! But I guess you see what you want to see.

  • I was like eight years old when I first saw her face....I was mesmerized. I recall standing in front of the TV just watching her. Those eyes.

  • I am the unliker, I scour the internetz for videos with no likes and thens I press Unlike for no reason! muaaah ha ha ha ha, fear me. I am coming for you.

  • @AllCricketTalk we fear you like a fart,

  • Hi, kwatrain! I have shared your music video because of it's superb sound quality and clarity!

If you wish to find it just hop onto the web link in my profile.

    Ronettes ROCKED! Thanks for posting!

  • No Ronnie Spector, No Nothing! Her Voice, Her Presence!!

Even though I grew up during the"60's, I'm Still totally Blown Away

With Her, her Sister Estelle & Nedra.....

  • Ronettes, Shirelles ans Crystals................Doesn't get much better than those three girl groups! What a time for music! Glad I grew up in those days and will never stop playing those tunes!

  • Loved this girl at first sight. If freed from Phil, she'd have been even better.

  • @Wagneryan - You know when you have a really bad cold and you keep coughing up that awful, slimy stuff from your lungs? Phil Spector is below *that* on the scale of things.

  • wish i could bring back the 60s minus the war

  • Ronnie Te nagyon szép vagy.

  • For some reason i love this kind of music & the 50's music and i'm only 23 lol Think i was born in a past life when this music came out

  • @badattituderecords09 They call it good taste

  • @badattituderecords09 Everyone says to same thing to me... we are kindred souls

  • @gladiator4457. Totally agree with you, and Ronnie Spector deserves a helluva lot more recognition than she gets.

  • @MrStuartw10 The Beatles were her warm up band when she toured the UK.

  • @MrStuartw10 That has allot to do with her X husband Phil Spector.

    We Still Love Her!

  • look at the photo, sex goddess, music diva, face and body to die for, unbelievable voice, then think about what isnow in the music industry and it sucks, make the most of history cos it will never be like it again, the ronettes, especially ronnie will neverbe bettered, they were too good for their era and were and are too good for the present

  • @gladiator4457 Yea, but now she turned into a freak like Michael Jackson. Look at her Wikipedia photo...

  • @gladiator4457 yeah bro shes a man now :O

  • @gladiator4457 There is plenty of talent out there today. It's just that times have changed and the critera of what makes a good pop song has changed. This song released today would be quaint and old fashioned. I don't see where Ronnie is any "better" a singer than Pink or Kelly Clarkson.

All that said, the 60's were an incredibly creative and fertile time. My favorite music ever. But there has been crap in every era. Remember Fabian? LOL

  • @demonhoopa

The songs were better. There are people who can sing their asses off now too, but the SONGS/music (mostly) sucks.

  • @sentstuff05 Do I think the overall quality of songs today matches the 60's? No but no decade has matched that one. There was some weird creative synergy, probably along with unprecedented social change, that just gave us a mind boggling amount of incredible/creative music. Also the music industry has become SO corporate that few are really allowed to take chances. To me the genre that's really suffering is rock. The pop genre, especially female, seems to be thriving.

  • @sentstuff05 Can't prove that. This whole disillusion that music and society was generally better in the past is called temporal construal theory. It's a theory that calls into mind our inability to accurately recount past events, whether cherished or disliked, and use them in anticipating the future. You should read the study by Trope and Liberman.

  • @sentstuff05 you're right. And the songs seemed like much more FUN back then- maybe it was just being a teenager as well. Bandstand, school dances, drive in's, car hops, high school, zits, grease, fries and a coke and my Dad's 57 Dodge. Pre Nam, lots of jobs, lots of hope.

    -Bill

  • @gladiator4457 Ronnie looks great since she lost weight. Looks like the young Ronnie

It was great that they used this song in the movie Dirty Dancing with Gennifer Gray and Patrick Swayze. Love that movie, Love Veronica Bennett, ie ( Ronnie Specter )
