  • on the g.e.d. what do you recommend to study

  • @tremelower I am creating a multi-disc DVD set for GED math where I will give a very good answer to this question. In the mean time, I recommend you buy at least 1 test prep book to guide you. Watching my Basic Math videos here is a good start.

  • why I can not hear your sound, but only music.

  • @calvin02514 Video was recorded in mono, not stereo. New videos will be in stereo. Sorry for this. You need to adjust your audio output.

  • Where are the notes?

  • @paddy110287 Note are in area called "Printshop" in my E-Store on my website.

  • hi im in 7 grade and my teacher gave me a early study which means i got it early and one of the questions on it is x<43 how would i find the equivalent inequalitie?

  • @bigmac21662 Not sure what you are asking. The only thing I can think of based on info provided is to "switch" the inequality around to 43 > x. I recommend you watch the lesson: "Algebra: Solving Linear Inequalities." By the way, there is no need to send the same comment 3 times. Comments don't appear until I approve them.

  • hey where do you get them print out sheets you always talk about sir, i'm trying to join the military math is my weakest in all of the subjects...please help me out......i'll greatly appreciated it

  • @Rising421 Math notes are in 2 areas of my VideoMathTutor website. Just go where the video is, and there is a link, OR visit the "PDF Printshop" under the "e-store" link.

  • @grafearthainn Note sure where you are looking, but notes are clearly shown on my videomathtutor site in several places. Look where video is, or the PDF printshop.

  • @videomathtutor ok thanks

  • ummm i got a stupid question, but i dont get how u choose an open dot and a shaded dot

  • @8cookies2 Open dot does NOT include the actual value, the closed dot includes the point. I go over this in more detail in my Algebra lesson: "Solving Linear Inequalities.

  • math makes my brain hurt....

  • @8cookies2 why dont you watch his vids? his vids are amazing! you gonna love math. seriously. ;)

  • All I hear is the music at the beginning but not his voice! So bummed :o(

  • @UBABYGORILLA Video is in mono, not stereo. Sorry about that. You need to adjust your audio output. I have corrected this for future videos.

  • @asngurl2525 Visit my Video Math Tutor website and click the "PDF Printshop." All notes are there.

  • Success!!!

  • Hello Anthony,

I commend you for helping in this critical area of study. I'm a prospective student of Texas A&M, I want to graduate to Algebra, Trig and ultimately Calculus. I'll be studying in the Maritime field, heavily based in Spherical Trig, Celestial and Nautical Navigation. Question; does your instruction go that far and should I worry if the extent of my math exposure is only to the pre-algebra level?

  • @dafervent1 No, I have no current plans to do videos in Spherical Trig, Celestial and Nautical Navigation. Sorry.

  • Where do I get the notes?

  • @coterieternal Notes are at my videomathtutor website. Click the "PDF Printshop" link.

  • i like the way he teaches buut i can bearly hear it..

  • @jimmytwoshoes2009 Sorry about that. Older videos were filmed in mono, not stereo. New videos will be in stereo.

  • GREAT JOB AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

  • @skinnytwintights STFU BITCH HE AND GET A LIFE THE GUY IS HELPING PEOPLE ROUND THE WORLD UNLIKE YOU

  • @nicklus27 Breath in... breath out... breath in... breath out...

BTW, thanks for standing up for me.

  • I remember drawing crocodile teeth on my inequalities back in primary.

  • you brag on a little bit too much but gee thanks by teacher sucks. :l

  • @skinnytwintights I do? In what way?

  • After watching u,i dont know how easier maths can get.lol.thk you.

  • islamic studies are far superior comapared to christian educational system.Cause in islam we emphasize morality. And iman is our ultimate goal

  • I attended a Catholic school in Mexico in Kindergarten and the First Grade, then I went to Public schools in Mexico, then a Public High School and University in USA. I would not know much about the systems you describe. Someday, I would like to visit a few Islamic countries to learn more about their methods of teaching MATHEMATICS (which has little to do with morality). Have you studied under both systems? If not, then you cannot draw the personal conclusions you state.

  • Hey I have failed math a couple times in college.. partly because I was immature the first couple times I took the class as well as all through highschool. I would start out paying attention and then lose it, get off track, and then I was just done. This is going to really help as it already has. Thanks so much! Are there videos like this for other subjects and if so, where?

  • Sorry, I don't make for other subjects.

  • Hello MR CLEAR AND EASY LEARNING MATH! thx for shareing your gift God bless ya.

  • Mr. Clean? Obviously you have never seen my apartment!

  • thanks

  • Just coming from from university very depressed. Came online utube and found you!! U have made my day - Maths once again seems very possible! Do u do private tutoring online? I pay for your time?

  • Yes, I do private tutoring online. Visit my website for details.

  • Do u do Quadratics?

  • Yes, I plan to make videos on Quadratics. They are not done yet.

  • u can do ]-infinity, infinity[

  • I have never seen that notation.

  • I am 18 years old, I studied the math in arabic in Tawjihi (the high-school test in most of middle eastern areas, and they taught us your way and the way i just wrote. its almost the same.

  • I am currently try to refresh my math so I can finshed my GED, you video is very helpful. Thanks

  • I have searched for hrs for a simple explanation regarding the symbols such as [brackets],(parethesis), closed/open circles and when to use them. Your little chart in the video is a life saver. Thank you so much!

  • Glad to know I was useful!

More will be covered in my upcoming Lesson: "Algebra: Solving Linear Inequalities."

  • i want to have more and more lessons like this teacher

  • More lessons are on the way.

    (I'm a tutor, not a teacher)

  • How do I print the notes? Where are they??

  • Visit my official website, then click the "PDF Printshop" link.

  • I'm not so math friendly. It's interesting, but it is one of those subjects I have to get better at. To start, your teaching method is great for understanding. I'm glad you're a Math YouTube tutor. You've refreshened my mind and added more. Thanks.

  • Thank you professor; God bless you. I had this old problem with maths; like many others but yet not many also who can believe here is a lifetime opportunity to beat the problem. Your videos are from the Heavens.

  • I'm not a professor, just a math tutor. I am glad I am able to help!

  • Man, I wish you were my math teacher.

  • ok, this is a good video, but i have one question. what is the purpose behind inequalities, intervals and set notation? what is it used for in real world situations? i have a hard time understanding these things unless i know how to apply it to something i actually do. thanks

  • Notation is more of a "math thing" and you will never actually use it in "the real world." This also applies to most of what you learn in school. You will never use the fact Columbus arrived in America in 1492, but you should know this anyway. Knowing math helps you develop your mind to solve problems.

You are actually doing inequalities whenever you use the words:

    At least

    At most

    No more than

    No less than

    Not equal to

  • ok, so is the notation you show in the video used for how you show an answer to certain types of problems then? sorry if thats a stupid question, math is my worst subject

  • Yes. I go through this in more detail in the lesson: "Algebra: Solving Linear Inequalities."

  • very well done.. thanks a lot.. now i understand.. ur way better than my prof..

  • thank you very much

  • My math teacher lets us watch your videos for homework. Nice Job

  • I am glad! I hope more teachers do this.

  • Perfect. You are a 100x better than my Math teacher. Kudos to you, sir. May you continue to enlighten minds with your wonderful ability.

  • Where do you go for the notes? I went to the site but I can't seem to find anything there either.

  • Click the "Free Videos" tab, then go to page with the lesson you want (like Basic Math, Lesson 2). There is an Acrobat Reader icon that you can click to view PDF file on the sidebar, plus a second link just under the videos description. If you still have problems, please email me (don't use YouTube), and I can just send you the files.

  • your bird can be pacman as well.. that what my teacher use to call him!

  • Sure. That works too. When I learned this, Pacman did not exist (yeah, I am old). An alligator can also be used.

  • thank you. .

  • Error Occured since yesterday, FYI

  • Please describe what is the error.

  • great job. I am an adult who has hated math all through my school life. I find myself going back to school and finding these videos are helping me understand the things I couldn't back then.

I appreciate all your hard work and dedication to helping others understand math in a fun way.

  • 8:16 (saving my place)

  • hey u said letters dont equal numbers but when ur talking in bases higher than 10 a=10 b=11 and so forth

  • Yep, You are correct.

  • Can you post some with scatter plots!

  • Yes, but not for awhile. I think that will be covered in "How to REALLY use the TI-84 Graphing Calculator - Part 3." It will be covered in a future algebra lesson too, but I don't know which one yet.

  • thank u!!!wish ur my teacher

  • Just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your hard work for putting these together. I wish you could have been my teacher in school (back in the day)..:)

  • Sir, you should be on the Mathematician Hall of Fame, if there is one.

  • i'm sorry to say that I agree with the last comment - i can't hear anything...

I can hear the music at the beginning, but I cannot hear you talking...

  • I think voice portion is in mono, not stereo. That may be the reason you don't hear anything (depends on your PCs settings, I guess). I can hear video just fine.

  • why is there no sound?

  • There is sound.

  • damn these are pretty good and simple... Im watching all of these im preping for pre calc

  • Thank you! This has been a HUGE help. I LOVE how you can stop it to take notes, something you can't do with a teacher in class. But I can't seem to find where you can get the notes and quizes :o(

  • I cannot place notes here on YouTube. For that, you need to go to my website and then to the page where this video appears. if you still need help, just send me an email.

  • thank you for the videos

  • how about open closed half-opren etc intervals?

  • keep them coming please. you are helping me prepare for college Algebra
