To answer your questions, Steven.

In versus mode, no, when you play the Infected, your zombie is auto-assigned.

No one knows just why witches cry, it's a debate. They're really dangerous because they can down, or even kill, a survivor in a single hit.

Pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails are both situational. Mollies can block off passages, whereas pipes are distractions.

The tier two weapons are the best, hunting rifle for damage at range, Auto Shotgun for close damage, and Assault rifle medium.

When playing as Survivors:

-Stick together

-You won't often run out of ammo, but don't be afraid to use your pistols.

-Fire is your friend. But not the friend you hug.

When playing as Infected:

When a Smoker: Strike at survivors when they're distracted, and separate one from the group.

When a Hunter: Pouncing to do damage is a good method, but don't forget that you'll die quickly.

Allow me to clear this up. A PS3 is technically a computer, with a microchip, a hard drive and what appears to be an operating system. However, PCs are known to be highly more manipulatable (is that a word?) when it comes to storage, plus you can modify its hardware to get higher performance rates. IMHO the PC is far superior on account of its moddability.

And another piece of advice, use _only_ your pistols until the tank comes, when he shows up, whip out your other guns and use those on him. This way it saves your amo and you can last longer. And only 2 shots kills regular zombies.

in survival mode can you play as infected? i would understand why not cause you die alot faster cause some infected use their brains, for example boomers could easily puke on you by standing on top of stairs. and smokers could drag you away while you're puked and then the hunter attacks the one trying to save the dragged one.

Stated by Valve themselves, the point of versus isn't really to get to the end but to get more points by the end of the finale than the enemy team. It usually ends before the survivors get to the finale. Survival mode is to simply survive as long as you can. Real players playing infected would make it almost impossible to get gold since they have limited health and not many ways to defend after they waste pipe bombs and molotovs.
