  • Wait, in the Wii version, you can hold 4 items at a time, but in the GameCube version, you can only hold 2? What the heck!

  • Haha! You have Tales of Symphonia! You are officially cool in my book.

  • I prefer gamecube due to the more ocarina of time feel to the game

  • Gamecube Version only uses TWO items?

I guess that's a good reason why I got the Wii version.

  • Always loved GameCube <3

In the Wii version you have Navi..

I's like a bug flying around you head o.O

But I'm not a hater! Just saying it ^^

  • Comon people give some ode to the cube!

  • in the first place the wii version was unnecessary but that's another bussiness story by nintendo

    GC version FTW

  • i don't like that (at least me) you can't load a spin attack in the wii version

  • I think it maninly depends on the player, not the game. I can say that, since I play the Wii version, I'd go dizzy and get confused if I played the GC one, that may also happen for the Wii newcomers that used to play it on the GC :)

  • Personally, I don't think the fact that the Wii version is mirrored should be considered, for the mirror problem would depend on which game you played first. The GameCube version would be mirrored in your perspective if you initially played the Wii version.

  • thumbs up if u didnt know there was a Gamecube version!

  • GameCube ftw!

  • the wii version actually came out first so the camecube version was flipped.

  • @misterplatypus96 Actually, the gamecube version was developed first.

  • @misterplatypus96

gc version was developed first, then ported to wii

  • Two things that really put the Wii version ahead for me are 16:9 support and the ease of aiming. That's not to say aiming in the GCN version is difficult or bad, but it feels more natural on the Wii. Skyward Sword aiming is very nice as well. I played the Wii version first, so the mirroring never really bothered me, nor did it bother me to go back and play the GCN version. The deciding factor for me is definitely the little things, as both versions are great.

  • the hole time i was playing the wii version i was thinking why is he right-handed and now i know

  • I got the Wii version since it was cheaper. I'd rather pay 20 bucks instead of 30 :P

  • GameCube version is the original and the perfect version of the game, wii version is only a port.

I played both: over 80 hour on GC and i think less than 10 on Wii.

  • Twilight princess Master Quest

  • Can someone explain to me what means 'the wii version is mirrored''?

  • @arup02 Everything in the world is reversed like seen through a mirror. In one version, the castle is in the west side of Hyrule but in another, the castle is in the East side. This was done to make Link right handed without wasting time making new models.

  • @ZNemerald I see. Thanks!

  • @arup02 Because Nintendo find out too dificult to redo the animation of Link, now when he is right handed in the Wii version. They made this because most people are right handed. And well, Link now is right handed again in Skyward Sword...

  • @arup02 Well, the game is mirrored in the Wii version due to the fact that many players are right handed. But Link is left handed and holds the sword in his left hand.

  • at the 4 reason , you can dodge attacks in gc version ¬¬

  • who the fuck hates the gamecube version,pot-heads probably

if your on the market for twilight princess, get the gamecube version

  • I really don't prefer either. They're both great, I just think the mirror was unnecessary.

  • meh, i still like the wii version, i never noticed the whole "only left handed guy" aspect of it and the controls were great.

  • gamecube is better it good graphics goog camera control and easy buttons so the peaple who are deiciding witch is better it is GAMECUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guys, if u wanna reply to nintendoguy360 just reply to me. That was my old account that I left awhile ago.

  • now, hypothetically, if one were to get a rom of this game, where motion controls are not existing and the aspect ratio can be changed, is there an advantage of one over the other?

  • Personally the wii version is good and all. but they really shouldnt have mirrored it. Like keep it the same, just have link right handed this time. its kind of weird seeing yourself in the game as like the only right handed person in the whole land of Hyrule

  • A little diffrerence: after you do the spin attack in Wii yo hear a sound and there is a blow in the sword (and tail) meaning that you can do it again. That blow doesn't occur in the GC version and of course the sound is exclusive to the wiimote.

I've played the GC version twice and now I am playing the Wii version. Both are great, but controls on Wii are better, and I don't get confused because of the mirrowed map, in contrast it adds a little bit of challenge since I need to explore again.

  • @NecromancerAdr completely agree... The game is a bigger achievement for the gamecube but it is (I think) a better game on the Wii. The motion controls are tight and the mirrored image is only a problem depending on which game you play second

  • come on guys, 2:07 looks so damn ugly.

  • Wii = More Light effects, better textures, graphics, Wii Mote AND Nunchuck as Sword blabla...

GameCube = Free Camera, Original version (Not mirrored)

    I like both ^^

  • @DetektivConan1994 You do know the wii version is a direct port, right? It uses the same graphics engine as the gamecube version.

  • @RedTeamSniper Yes i know that, but why is then Twillight Princess Wii 4.7 GB?

And the GC Version just 1.4 GB???

In a comparision trailer you can see on the Wii version, it has more light effects and so...

  • @DetektivConan1994

Padding. They insert content-less data to fill up the disc (Basically, a text file full of spaces, so much so that it makes a huge file). This increases read speed, which means faster loading. In fact, when both the GameCube and Wii versions are compressed to remove padding, the GameCube version is in fact larger by 0.2GB. I mean, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is 4.7GB too... until you remove the padding, then it's 360MB (give or take a few).

  • It will feel entirely awkward to play it on the wii after finishing it twice on the gammecube lol...

The mirrored thing is gonna screw me up lol

  • they have the same graphics

  • Both Wii and the GC version are good.

  • The game was mirrored just to make Link use his right hand?

Wow. That's pretty lazy. They could have just changed Link.. not the entire world.

  • the only thing i didn't like in the GC version was the item menu. OH GOD what the hell were in their minds when they decided to do an "item-wheel" it's so fucking hard to select them I always miss the item I want to select, instead of selecting the boomerang I select the latern, it's so fucking annoying

  • Wii = real like movements Gamecube = better controls

  • are you able to do 16:9 in the gamecube version

  • @dabeezyeffect with special cables yes, and the progressive scan too

  • Wii loses because Wii (He said in description) is easier with aiming, which is a big part of the game. Read again, EASIER. I like HARDER. See the difference? Now. I'm gonna play on my "sucky" GC version of the game. BTW, why do you have both GC and Wii versions of the game. Makes no point to me.

  • The widescreen in the Wii version only cuts off the upper and lower parts of the screen, making the vision more limited than in the Gamecube version.

  • @BonzoDerClown Actually, no. Because if you pay attention in the trees you can see the difference. Its larger. But it's not a great difference anyway. I think both versions has up and downs when you compare them. I think that the wii one is better for those who don't care about beeing the original way or not. Or for those who played the wii one first... But if you mind link beeing "rightie" or not beeing able to control the camera or is just more used to it, its gc.Just a matter of taste here.

  • wiii

  • I just wish that we had the option to make the cursor only appear when Link is aiming and have it out when he's not.

  • Does it mater? Both of them havve the most epic story ever and an awsome soundtrack. :P

  • For people who seem to be bothered by the mirrored thing (Even tho it doesn't bother me) think of it like this. The Gamecube version is the left version and the Wii version is the right version. So, if you do, don't feel annoyed that its mirrored, this is Nintendo and if they thought for one moment that it seemed stupid or that it'd ruin the game, that wouldn't have mirrored it.

  • ITs right because even people left handed like me use nunchuck at left hand and wiimote at right so i guesss it was worth it

  • This is the only game I know that has 2 remakes. GCN (Original), then Wii, then Wii U.

  • @killerj641 there wil be a ztp to the wii u thats cool past me the link of the video

  • I like wii better because it has darker graphics

  • hey can u use gamecube controlers on the wii version since this is from the gamecube after all

  • Mirrored? OK i'm gonna get the gamecube version when I get the money

  • @mariogamersidequest I recommend the wii version. Its hard to tell if its mirrored or not if you haven't played the NGC version. It doesn't matter really but I enjoyed the Wii version more than the game cube version.

  • @gamealogic Yeah i might just get the wii version since its on the ebay with the new wii im getting because my old ones brokne

  • Hah I got the gamecube version and the Nintendo Selects Wii version for 20 bucks.

    I'm bi- winning :)

  • GameCube version is better, becaue TP was designed for GameCube. Just in the last moment, they made the game also for Wii

  • Cube version does 16:9 too.

  • @HaloSpartanG13 how?

  • @LE0NSKA Progressive scan cables, or a Wii with a progressive scan cable, as cube progressive scan cables are fucking expensive.

  • @HaloSpartanG13 dude ...it would be still 4:3 only stretched out

  • @LE0NSKA The cube supports 16:9, though, in fact, even the PSX and n64 supported it.

  • @HaloSpartanG13 no...they...don't....? it's your tv that stretch the screen to 16:9...and not the console

  • reason 1 was done because it would SUCK to play a left handed link on the wii while most ppl are right handed wiimote users ... no brainer here :D

  • @Cobac why not please everyone and make it optional

  • @Longkat92 ask them not me i didnt make the game tough

  • @Cobac Lol would of i could. I'm left handed and it sucks!! :(

  • I have never played wii, but the whole waving your arms everywhere to get your character to move, is a big turnoff. I'm sticking to my good old N'64.

  • Its such a pain to move around because you cant control the camera and the wii controller doesn't always register swings. Not only that the aim feature is a pain because I always have to adjust it or sit a certain way.

Can you play the wii version with the gamecube or pro controller?

  • @dying2l Nope. You can only use the wii remote. Thats why I got the cube version. Cube version owns the wii version. Better controls, free camera, and its not mirrored.

  • @nintendoguy360 can it go widescreen though?

  • @nintendoguy360 The Wii U version will be better.

  • @killerj641 That was a tech demo. -_- There not redoing the game.

  • @nintendoguy360 the only good thing you mentioned was free camera cause wii camer is a pain. but the mirrored doesnt matter its the same (unless you played the gamecube first you would be confused) and better controls is not true.

  • @nintendoguy360 Thanks for your comment, now i don't want to buy the wiii version, the gamecube version is enough :)

  • @TheMarioDimension Glad I helped. nintendoguy360 was my old account, that I left some time ago. Im happy to hear you are getting the gamecube version. Both versions are good, but the gamecube version is really the true experience.

  • This video just made it harder to choose. -_-

  • ok so... @.@ after all this, do i buy a GC only for playing the "Original" Zelda? or do i get a Wii cause i dont like to fish, but in Wii is a "hell of a xperience"?.... im gonna play Zelda TP wii or wiithout it......cuack! xD

Long live to the cutest princess of all times... 8(-.-)8

  • Lets face it..Pointing on the Wii is perfect ( at least in this game ). For the Gamecube the only real advantage is the original angle, for those who cares. While the ability of controlling the camera freely on the GC one is cool, the Wii compensates with the two more slots for itens, witch is so useful as camera, maybe more.So i considerate the wii version a bit better, just for the controls, of course. But if you want the original just because its the original, stay with GC. Its 99% the same.

  • @Evaquiel (i have both and completed both, thats why i am saying) Even though sometimes i really prefer the original for some damn reason... maybe because i completed first. yeah, it depends a lot of how you're used with witch one, i think. after all, is MIRRORED from the original... how fucked up is that? maybe a lot.. maybe almost nothing.... it depends of your point o view, man ( AND of what was the version you picked first and is more used to ). simple as that. no better one=almost d same.

  • @Evaquiel Or maybe you can say this: Control VS ... Original image? At least i consider this way... JEN4RO has a point. Its true. But its not THAT different. Its just more simple, fast and easy or whatever. Again... Thats the way i consider.

  • @Evaquiel BUT he forgot to mention the defending and jumping from the horse feature of the GC. If screen size count as a point this is too. Its is cool and useful. Wii: 6. GC: 3.*

  • On the wii aiming is faster, but harder, and on the gc aiming is easier (more steady for one thing) but it takes longer.

The GC is still better in my opinion, but whatever.

  • @JEN4RO hey umm....i was gunna buy the Twilight Princess, as iv never played it before...but what do you recommend i should buy? the wii version or GameCube?

  • Why is the wii version more broad screened?

  • yeah they are the same game and if you already have a wii, get this version. but if you dont have a wii, and youre just dying to play this, invest in a gamecube. they're only like $25 and they are actually fun, while the wii is just worthless.

  • no fishing in the gamecube version??? I did not know that

  • @olimarr there IS fishing in the gamecube version i own it

  • @99metanight i know! JEN4RO iz a dumbass right?

  • I agree that the wii version is better

but all the people I know complain about link being right handed in the wii version and then the Xbox players whine about motion controls

    here's how I see it

if you wanted it to be PERFECT

    wii version

    add free camera

keep the world the same (despite his handed-ness)

and make the sword play more like "No More Heroes" so the motion delay would not even exist (but the precision aiming that I love would)

    How's that sound?

  • This game is very cool on GCN. Never played the Wii version. Sorry. I think this was pretty impressive for a Gamecube title. The graphics did not even look like Gamecube graphics. They looked way more high tech than something you would see on a Gamecube. It looks as if the developers pushed the Gamecube past it's limitations when they made this. The game is huge, the gameplay is very fun and epic, the graphics are beautiful, and the soundtrack builds atmosphere. 10/10.

  • The bad thing about the Wii version is that you automaticly raise your shield when targeting.

  • not only did he switch hands the whole figgin world got mirrored and i got confused after playing the gc version i played the wii version and it was hard to navigate xD

  • Thanks for the helpful video.

  • The Wii's HUD is more cluttered up than the Gamecube one.

Which is a shae because Twilight Princess has beautiful environments.

  • GC definatly has a better graphic overhaul. Not by much though. The WII is still awesome with better controls

  • 3 things that make me go for the Wii version instead GC:

    1- Aiming;

    2- Fishing;

    3- Gameplay on battle and skills;

The motion sensitive control makes this game absolutely wonderful. Imagine how great Skyward Sword will be...

  • it HAS to be mirrored or all the right handed people (majority) would be at a disadvantage.

  • @CerratedFusion Im left handed but i guess i can just go get to fuck!

They shouldn't have mirrored it, why couldn't they just swap link's model about and allow you to choose?

Hyrule doesn't make sense in the wii, Gerudo desert and Lake Hylia in the east instead of west for example!

and it was really pointless swapping about cos i play left handed and it's just as easy and straightforward as ever, Imagine swapping all that about just so right handed people dont for ONCE go without!

  • they mirrored it so link would be righthanded for the wiimote

  • there both good in many ways but i prefer the wii version better but the gamecube version looks fun i never played the gamecube version but i did play the wii version but the gamecube one looks awsome to play

  • Well actually when you are aiming the bow on GC version you CAN move out of the way while having the bow out, all you do is hold L with the bow out & move with joystick.

  • Tp is way better on the Wii. Anyone who thinks the Gamecube version is better is a fuckin idiot. Wii version is way more fun, it's innovative, and it's better and there is nothing wrong with the controls.

  • @gameaddict51 They're an idiot, really? Well, you certainly are a tolerant one. Everybody has different preferences.

  • @Coloradotoker I can tolerate it. But I'll never understand it. Just like I'll never understand why people like Twilight and many other things.

  • @gameaddict51 Well, I personally like the GC version better. I like the fact that it controls just like the other 3D Zeldas. I think it's wrong the way they mirrored it for wii, and shaking the remote to swing your sword doesn't add anything to the gameplay. Not to mention, performing a shield attack is WAY easier in the GC version, as is using your sword on horseback.

When it comes to aiming and fishing, the wii version is better however.

  • @Coloradotoker It's easy on the Wii. You swing the nunchuck forward. The wii controls makes it more fun. And using your sword on horseback is just as easy as on foot. I really don't see why people say the wii has bad controls. Maybe rough, but not bad especiallly sense a majority of the games for Wii don't even require moving the Wii remote around so much.

  • i'd prefer gamecube 1. it'd be weird seeing link right-handed… 2. i don't really like widescreen 3. i have a hard time keeping my hand steady for aiming 4. moving and aiming at the same time? i can't multitask like that lol 5. i don't want to risk hitting real life objects 6. i often have a hard time deciding what to put on even 3 buttons, i don't need 4 7. fishing's not really my thing 8. yay free camera mode :) 9. i like the feel of the gamecube controller better just my opinion :P
  • i had the GC version did not like it o fell nice to play i wanted the wii version tomorrow i may get it.

  • They should have just released a mirrored version of the came cube one so no one would notice.

  • if you like wii version play ocarina of time for 64 then for GC and then play twilight princess u would prefere the GC version the wii is not bad but i like the buttons

and that stuff even my 23 old friend told me to chose the gc one

  • I preffere the GC version because I don't like the Wiimote for a Zelda. The best is the classic gaming for one zelda

  • The Wii widescreen version is cropped so the GameCube fullscreen is superior to the Wii widescreen in every way.

  • i like the look of the mirrored version better except for the right handed link i know its for the controls but it's just not cool

  • I like and own a copy of both versions of the game.

I decided that in honor of Skyward Sword, I was gonna start a new game of Twilight Princess for both Gamecube and Wii.

I'm pretty sure Skyward Sword will be a sequel to Twilight Princess.

I just hope it doesn't come with a Phantom infested hub dungeon like the 2 recent DS Zelda games (Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks) did.

  • @Nicksolo85 If you mean by timeline no. It's supposed to be a prequel to Ocarina of time.

  • @ErR0RC0D3E73 yeah, I found that out later on.

  • @Nicksolo85 Oh my bad then.

  • @ErR0RC0D3E73 it's cool.

I just figured it was gonna be a sequel because the Link in Skyward Sword looked almost like Twilight Princess Link, except that Skyward Sword Link is cel-shaded like the Link that appeared in Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass and the Link that appeared in Spirit Tracks.

I started a topic about Skyward Sword being a prequel to Ocarina of Time on IMDB. I await to see who actually looks at it. I included a link for proof.

  • @Nicksolo85 I believe Skyward Sword is a sequel to Wind Waker, considering adult toon link.

  • @bionicle2122 It's a prequel to Ocarina of Time, the developers confirmed it. The art style has NOTHING to do with the storyline. Skyward Sword will just explain the origins of the Master Sword.

  • @VIPgadget get a life man, i personally like my xbox better than my wii but i dnt go to youtube vids and write two paragraphs of meaningless crap and try to act cool

  • @VIPgadget thats what atari and sega said back when their consoles were competing against nintendo consoles. eventually, nintedo will still rule.

  • @VIPgadget

Now i see, you still 6, because just a kiddo would

wrote that, you still piss of, because you got xbox

    instead Wii

And the kinect was a total and absoluty fail

i like, xbox, i like PS3, but i preffer my Wii over those

consoles, why? simple, has the better Gamplay ever

  • @VIPgadget get a life

  • @VIPgadget Why do people like you always diss Nintendo I mean if it wasn't for Nintendo the gaming biz would have DIED. I mean before the NES video games were popular and was dieing out then the NES came along and games were popular again and another thing only true gamers know that graphics comes 2nd to a game......HAHAHAHAHA I just realized you made a contradiction with yourself. If the wii's controls are cheap then why would you say PS3 move is better when obviously they got the idea fromwii

  • @VIPgadget ...Um, hi, I have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @VIPgadget you got it backwards. first of all. it's not about the graphics but the gameplay. second of all this proves that the gamecube was better than what it got credit for. Not to mention the gamecube failed because it wasn't until twilight princess that it had shown its true potential thus nintendo was short of cash to do the BEST with the wii.. not to mention either way i bet nintendo wouldn't waste there time and money on graphics. They focus on whats important. GAMEPLAY.

  • @VIPgadget dude they ported it over AT THE LAST SECOND

  • You have 1831 Blocks open for your wii!

    i only got 500 Blocks left =[

  • i dont know if im the first person to notice but in the gamecube version link doesnt look like he puts the arrow in the right place when he uses the bow its not supposed to sit on your finger like that

  • so if Nintendo made a Wii version of wind waker the game would be mirrored to make toon link right-handed

  • @kenny3001 no because TP have lack of time for some reason so instead of new models for Link, they just flip the whole game around.

  • In Skyward Sword link is right-handed and in my opinion both games (Zelda TP Wii and NGC) are cool maybe the wii version is more realistic but both games are cool :)

  • gamecube version is better then the wii in my opinion

  • GC version, Wii version have more light and minus darkness

  • one other point that wii loses at is that you have to move the camera with L like the good ol' days on the n64. in the gamecube version, you can rotate the camera with the c stick. but still the wii version wins by miles.

  • Wii is better. The gamecube version has some weird Slowdowns in hyrule field, or practically almost anywhere... Im trading it in for the wii version

  • @nintendoguy360 noob, the GC has half the GPU and CPU power as the Wii

  • Link is left handed but the majority of the people in world are right handed, so the game was flipped to match people motions with link's sword.

  • HMMMP! I still say the Gamecube one PWNS the Wii

  • Comment removed

  • i like both but I prefer NGC version,

    My reason:

TP is a easy game, with the nintendo wii controllers it makes the game even easier.

  • @SieghartzBR Yeah, but you can get into the feeling with the Wii controls.

  • @kinzvids not for me cuz I am left handed and I use wii remote on left, it's a kind strange to see link holding the sword on right.

  • @SieghartzBR Oh okay. Have you tried switching? Or does it feel too weird?

  • @kinzvids I tried to play on right but I just can't, are you right handed? if you are just try to play the game with the wii remote on left, you will see how difficult it is

  • This game was made for the gamecube, it was ported over to the wii so it had a good launch game. The next zelda will be worthwhile on the wii, as it will be designed for it's controls from the ground up. In the mean time however, I wouldn't want to play this on anything other than the my old gamecube, it just feels goofy.

  • Gamecube Wins imo. The Wii version bothers be because its mirrored.

  • I'm right handed and I could of played Twilight Princess fine holding the Wii-mote in my left hand.

  • I prefer Gamecube. probably because I played that one first... I only got it on Gamecube due to my Wii being delayed for months. I missed the free Camera on wii and the movement stuff just got annoying to me. >_>;

  • the wii one came out first but the gc was made first

  • wii is better

  • actually gc is mirrored because wii was 1st

  • @StupidkidPeople

Uhh, no. Twilight Princess was made a Gamecube game. They threw it into the wii at the last minute, flipped it, and released it first to boost sales of the wii.

  • @Chyde109 Exactly, the mirror was because most people are right handed and the new controls (waggle) meant that when you slashed from right to left, link did the opposite but since they ran out of time to adapt it, they simply mirrored it... brilliant?

  • I dont think they shoulda mirrored the WII verison. It dosent follow the Zelda "tradission", that Link is left handed.

  • @extremezeldasuperfan tradition :)

  • @extremezeldasuperfan Link is right handed in the first though
